October 8: My kids are gone to college and I have the computer to myself again. Cheap entertainment is all that is in my budget. The librarians all know me by name. I borrow all the best TV shows they have in the library, the old shows, the best shows!! One lady told me about this site. I don't know where to start. Yes I do! Westerns!

October 9: My gosh there are so many Western stories here, I read two last night and really enjoyed them. I thought I would go alphabetically and read each show's fics but there are so many and I want to read a couple from each of Big Valley, Bonanza, Centennial, Daniel Boone, Dr. Quinn, Forever Knight, Gunsmoke, Highlander, Lancer, Rawhide, and Zorro. I know some of these aren't Westerns so don't write to correct me. These are all good shows I loved watching. I don't see any for High Chaparral or Lone Ranger but maybe I'm not looking in the right places.

October 14: I have read dozens of stories now. My original plan was to post feedback on evry one I read. How do you tell someone that their writing is bad? I don't just mean the kind of writing that need grammar checked and stuff but the really BAD plots and horrible dialog and, well, it's just really bad! I'm no writer but I do read everything I can get my hands on. There are some great stories here, but my eyes are bleeding from some of what I've tried to read.

October 16: The feedback some writers get. Oh my! Some reviewers are very thoughtful and take their time, but there are some that seem to thrive on flaming a fic to cinders. Like I said above, I want to be honest, but I don't want to be rude, either. Isn't the fact that someone posts a fic here an invitation for feedback?

November 9: Computer problems are making it hard for me to visit on a regular basis.

December 18: My son had installed all kinds of antivirus antispyware stuff on my laptop, and it made it so I couldn't do much but read anywhere.

September 20, 2008: Has it really been this long since I was here? So much happened since then and so many new fics to read that I don't know where to start. I suppose I'll see what's been posted in DB and then BV. Good to be back again!
