Claire must come to terms with losing friends, Allison needs to know how to make them, Brian needs to rebel and Andrew needs to grow a backbone. John however needs to be a little nicer to everyone, especially his friends and his girlfriend. (Bendercentric mostly. Basically one giant John Hughes 1980s movies crossover).

"We accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a Saturday in detention for whatever it was we did wrong. But you're crazy to make us write an essay telling you who we think we are. What do you care? You see us as you want to see us. As a highflier, an athlete, a basket case, a socialite, and a delinquent. Correct?"

"That was Joanne. Met her at work today." Seems like a sensible place to start. Tie in to, and overlapping with, 'Our One Rule' and 'Love Me Two Times', but don't tell Soda and Jo. As far as they're concerned, this was always their own story...

With the shadows of her former "Basket Case" reputation lingering - Allison dating the school's star athlete doesn't play well.. Picking up right after John Bender pumps his fist into the air in triumph, this story explores the immediate aftermath of the events of the movie and how Bender, Claire, Andrew, Allison, and Brian struggle to reconcile that life-changing morning with the rest of the world that seems to be telling them they're wrong.
