Author has written 1 story for Harry Potter. Name: Classified Sex: Only if I get to be on top Age: 23,000 Race: Martian Hobbies: Usually depends on my moods. I change my mind on what I "like" every few days so nothing I can really say. I do love reading good fanfiction as is obvious. Dislikes: I was first introduced to fanfiction when the seventh book came out and I was pissed at the ending. I found it disgustingly sweet how everything seemed to work out as a perfect fairy tale with a happily ever after. That was a no-no in my book. So I found the wonderful world of fanfiction where the darkest fantasies of death and betrayal and real truth of the Harry Potter Universe can be found. As for writing fanfiction, I'm not really sure how to actually going about it. I do have a few chapters from various works but they are mostly continuations of abandoned pieces written by other authors. I was thinking about putting up some one-shots, even though I personally hate reading one-shots, and then finish up some abandoned pieces before moving on to my own. Even though so far I've only truly talked about Harry Potter, I've written only parts of Eragon fanfiction. I have a semblance of a first chapter for a Harry Potter fic but thats about it. I lost interest quite quickly though I may choose to pick it up again. To be truthful, I've only read about a few stories that I would consider legendary in my mind, in terms of Harry Potter fanfiction that is. I chose these stories because they almost completely original storylines with the exception of borrowing from Rowling's world but one can see how the first two stories gradually evolve away from that world. DobbyElfLord manages creative twists while still working within the bounds of Rowling's work and for that I applaud you. I have mixed feelings about the Stranger Trilogy as the storyline was certainly not the first of its kind but in my opinion is certainly the best of its kind and that is why it deserves to be up there with the greats. They are: Eclipse of the Sky by firefawn (What the hell happened to this person? This was by far the best written work I've ever read: fanfiction or otherwise. Where did she go? I know she was in med school when she started but she must have graduated by now. But anyways, a definite must read and what every story should aspire to be.) Song of the Trees (This is what I consider to be a unique fiction. A story on its own with its own ideas and original plot. The only thing I find objectionable is the rather long periods of inactivity but that can be overlooked.) Altered Destinies by DobbyElfLord Balancing Destinies by DobbyElfLord The Stranger Trilogy by Serpent-sorceror Queens of Darkness, Ladies of Light by Thalarian (I have quite literally been scouring the entire internet looking for the unedited version of this story as ficwad had a massive glitch that resulted in the story's disappearance. That said, I am quite certain that this story is abandoned and has been for over three years now. Despite being over 100k words, the story is only two chapters long. Still, it is one of the best.) Runner-ups: Indeed. There are always those that were close but did not quite make it into the fold. If one were to read these stories and then those under legendary, the difference is considerable. But still, they make for excellent reading and thus I give you the honorable mentions: A Last Resort by Ldr (His style of writing and plot seems a bit simplistic and straightforward. It would be nice if he threw in some plot twists. ) Temptations of a Dark Soul by Amerision (I don't quite like the idea that Harry starts out already dark and the story basically follows him descending to Dark Lord status) Antithesis by Wind Whisperer (It is an excellent story, I have nothing really against it. It is what I think is the ideal Dark Harry story in which he descends from innocence to the darkest of arts in the magic realm. But it doesn't quite impress me enough.) Current Works
