![]() Author has written 2 stories for One Tree Hill. Unexpected Sparks Character Pictures: For those who like to visualize the scenes as they read, here is how I imagine the characters in this story look like as I write them. You still have to use your imagination, as the adults should really be about five years older than these pictures and the youngsters at sixteen. Please feel free to substitute others if you don't like my suggestions. Well, first off thanks for reading one of my stories, assuming that's what brought you here. I'm certainly no writer, but I do it for fun...especially when the shows I usually like or the couples I root for don't get what I think would be much better fates. I've been reading some of your brilliant work on this site a lot longer than I've posted my own work. I think it's too bad that epic romance, the all-consuming, can't-live-without-each-other-kind, is hard to come by in television these days. My mind tends to create such worlds with a lot of angst, struggle, and roadblocks to the desired end. I'm not afraid to let my protagonists or their suitors wear their hearts on their sleeves and even make grand gestures of love or speeches asking for their affections to be returned...only to be rejected at first or even multiple tries afterwards. So, you have to be patient while on the ride with me. I always try to do my best to write an end with the appropriate pay off. I am a big fan of dialogue. While you're reading my stories, you'll get narrative descriptions of inner thoughts and feelings, but much of the story will actually be in conversations. I find it easier to visualize the scenes that way. I usually write female centric stories and highlight female point of views. My favorite characters come from soapy series: Greenlee Smythe (daytime's All My Children) and Brooke Davis (One Tree Hill). Both are spoiled, feisty, flawed, rich girls who make a lot of mistakes but also have the biggests hearts on the planet. Regardless of where the orginial shows' writers took these two characters, they gave me enough foundation in their early years to see them as the complex leads that continue to inspire me. I hope you have as much fun reading my stories as I do writing them. Cheers, |
