My friends are the typical preppy teenagers and brainwashed me into thinking like them. They tell me to shop at Hollister, so I do. They tell me that I shouldn't act the way I do, so I stop. They tell me that the boy I like is stupid, so I ignore him. They tell me that I am too pessimistic, so I start acting optimistic. They say they don't like my drawings, so I stop caring about my artwork. They tell me a teacher is stupid, so I hate the teacher. They tell me a rumor I know isn't true, but I spread it anyways. They tell me parents are evil, so I start to fight with mine. They tell me that only nerds read books for enjoyment, so I have to do it in secrecy. They tell me only ugly girls have never been kissed, so I lie and pretend I have kissed a guy before. They tell me they don't like my brand new shoes, so I tell my mom I lost them. They flaunt their money, so I pretend that my family is wealthy. They tell me that a certain girl is a whore, so I glare at her in the hallways. They tell me lies, and I believe them. They say things about me behind my back, so I have to hold in my grief and pretend I never heard anything.

I wrote that a long time ago, but I have decided to keep it in my profile. I have learned that every little thing that has happened in my past now shapes me into the person I am today. I would never change anything I have done, for I would be an entirely different person because of it.
