Winter made Bucky feel more like himself, something he'd almost lost. She gave him comfort, love, reminded him of who he was, and even gave him the courage he needed to talk to people he wouldn't normally, not now, because he wasn't who he was before, but Winter made him want to be. Bucky and Steve were sent on a mission to watch a group of old SHIELD scientists who were playing with potentially hazardous experiments. When the scientists blow up the Antarctic base, the pair are forced to take shelter in a tent while waiting for extraction. Having given the better supplies to the scientists, the two soldiers battle cold temperatures and boredom.

"If you wanted me to dance with you all you had to do was ask," Bucky grins, lightly stepping on Steve's toes in the process. "Plus, I owe you a few dances."

Bartenders were offered their fair share of names and offers and numbers, but Bucky's only got eyes for one. Cue Hot Window Guy.

The doctors were shocked, in a way, that new words appeared. More than one soulmark? It was unheard of. And yet, the marks being there in the first place was because you were meant to know your soulmate the first time you met them. So, of course, now that Bucky couldn't remember Steve, he'd gotten new words, because he would meet him for the first time again.

Bucky is a barista. Steve just wants to draw him. And date him. A lot.

AU. Bucky Barnes is an awkward, anti-social war veteran. He spends his time watching TV or drinking over-priced coffee. The only people he really talks to is Sam, Natasha, her boyfriend Clint (by default), and sometimes Tony. Oh and Steve Rogers. Did he mention Steve Rogers? Casual touching & cursing, along with one-shots set at different points in their relationship.

It isn't a surprise when the fire alarm goes off in the middle of the night. The apartment is located in a pretty rough neighbourhood so hearing an alarm is nothing new. Normally, he's learned to ignore them by now, but this time is different. This time he can smell the smoke from a fire. AU.

The first thing he says to Steve is, "Didn't I tell you not to do anything stupid until I was back?"

Steve always was the good one, the easing light to Bucky's dark. He looked at Bucky with awe in his eyes, not because Bucky walked outside of the lines, but because Bucky embraced his darkness like it was the only thing worth embracing. It was incredible to watch- and a little terrifying.
