History, Legend, Myth, and Curse - Ever wonder why Ginny was the only girl born in the Weasley family in several generations? It all started about a thousand years ago... A stand alone background novella in the Ginny Weasley point of view series. Featuring her ancestors who lived during the time of the Founders and the one who cursed them all. Can be read alone. Can be read before or after Ginny Weasley and the Very Secret Diary, I recommend reading this story BEFORE Ginny's Year 2 installment, still yet to be named (Ginny Weasley and the Curse of ?????), but will not be necessary. Can be read after her Year 2 installment to get the full novella story experience later. *Spoiler* I plan to use memories from characters from this story to push Ginny's Year 2 installment. Loosely follows "Henry the Young King" from England and his life. Current viewable chapters (1-4) are technically still T rated, however overall story is M rated for final few ending chapters that are mapped out so I went ahead and rated the story M ahead of time.

Ginny Weasley and the Very Secret Diary - Complete. Rated T. Ginny's Year 1 installment. Chamber of Secrets from Ginny's point of view. Tom Riddle's patient, manipulative words. A slow realization that Harry Potter is worth having a crush on (slow burn, not an immediate love at first sight). A deep friendship with Colin Creevey and OC Ash Burke from Slytherin. Ginny's immense faith in the power of the love of her family. Many OC's because there are very few canon characters in her year. Fanfiction. Canon. My Story:

Hi everybody!

Ginny is an outsider of the trio, at least until the end of the series, and yet she is always there at the same time. She is so close to them, even in the summer times (which is why I decided against a story from say Neville's point of view). How terrifying it must have been to realize you have been possessed by Lord Voldemort. How confusing it must be to see Harry, Ron, and Hermione relieved that Sirius Black escaped at the end of Prisoner of Azkaban. How heartbreaking it was to realize she had a chance to go to the Yule Ball with Harry after already saying yes to Neville. Worrying about Harry through the Triwizard Tournament yet being pushed to the background because she still isn't part of the trio's inner circle. How life changing to realize Dumbledore aided in Black's escape, hearing about Voldemort's horrific return, and moving into the Black mansion all in one short span of time only to be forbidden to tell Harry Potter anything. And it being awkward to even think to because you don't correspond with him anyway, to him you are still Ron's little sister.

How many times was Ginny standing right there when something was going down and yet she had no speaking role in the original series? What was going on in her mind?

I hope you enjoy this rendition. Yes, once she gets to the castle characters will need to be made up. I agree that is sad. I hoped to find more canon characters in her year, but the only ones I found mentioned are Luna and Colin. I will do my best to keep the feeling of Harry Potter's world true. These are not scenes from the original stories from Ginny's perspective, these are her very own original and complete stories. Separate but in tandem with the original series.

Lately I have had plenty of free time to work on something I have always been interested in: writing. I'm currently working on my own novel, a post-apocalypse military-esque type that I wish to have published. You could say that my fanfiction writing is my "practice novel" and I hope to continue this Ginny Weasley point of view series to it's end at book seven and give it to the world for free. The newly inspired children's fantasy, Catlings is also practice of sorts.

But I think as long as the title of my story passes inspection, everything else should be fine, it should be up by this Monday, the 26th of October hopefully... but possibly not until the first of November. ANOTHER EDIT: As hours have picked up dramatically at my so-called Part-Time Muggle job, I have not had much time to both write story material AND HTML code for Blogger or Mugglenet.
