It has been a year to the day since Judy Hopps and Nicholas Wilde first met, and the two have grown ever closer as each day has passed... though they are still on a 'friend' basses, Nick thinks that - with some gentile prodding - it's about time they became something more. But when the city falls into chaos, will the strength they lend each other be enough for them to survive?

Zootopia implied that Nick and Judy's friendship was more than being 'buddies'. Five months after, the Night Howler case. Judy and Nick, are rising officers in ZPD. Working together to take down criminals. There's one close call, which leads them to a new case. Taking care of a young arctic vixen, who's under ZPD protection. While they take care of her. Friendships blossom even more, and new ones come as well. (WildeHopps, will appear in the story)

Judy is still reeling from the events of the last month, and she is very much ready for things to calm down so she recover and also come to terms with how she feels about the fox she nearly lost. But, when it rains, it pours. They will take an assignment that challenges their comfort zones, and they will uncover a plot that may go beyond Zootopia itself, and out into the world.

Working for the ZPD is a demanding job, especially when you are the first of your kind on the force. Although Nick and Judy make an effective team, trying to balance the demands of work while still maintaining a social life is a challenge of all its own—especially in the face of social pressures brought by living in a city still recovering from pred/prey tensions.

As the dust settles and Nick and Judy get into a better routine for working together to make the world a better place, they find themselves pulled in a few different directions, from a trip to Bunnyburrow that turned out to be less relaxing than they had hoped, to a parental misunderstanding, to an underground disaster that might just cost them everything.
