I wrote this for two reasons. 1-I like Alarak. It bugs me that so many people seem to like Alarak for being a bully but ignore how messed up his life had to have been. 2-In the official story Nuroka gives Alarak almost no incentive to side with him and assumes that he will. Alarak is perfectly happy watching Nuroka tortured to death. It felt like a reversed Luke/Darth Vader moment.
