Poll: I have recently set up an ability concept based on the philosophy of the Seven Deadly Sins. Some were influenced by the anime, others were inspired by characters from games like Prototype, Devil May Cry, and Infamous, as well as Marvel and DC comics to an extent. I am not sure as to which of the Seven I should explain first, so I will leave it up to those who followed. I am doing something similar to this poll on my WattPad account and am rather new to both sites in terms of profile management in all parts of online writing. Which of the 7 would you rather have a description of first: Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy, Gluttony, Pride, or Lust? I may end up using my WattPad suggestions instead depending on my whims at the time of writing. I expect to have each description done by the end of June as I know what to type, but haven't due to laziness and a need to have it ordered just the right way. Vote Now! |
-My Profile Description- "I have no true plans for writing fanfictions, and would rather just read and enjoy. I have created this account because I am a bleeding heart and feel the need to reply and help others in whatever way I can, even if my efforts give minimum results. (Also because I like being notified of new stories at the price of a really blown up email.) I can provide ideas and concepts, but I am not much of an actual story writer as I am too OCD when it comes to certain things like grammar, time management, character development, and background information. I have created this page as a form of non-certified psychiatry for others as well as a place for people to brainstorm and message me for ideas involving animes or weird philosophy and/or hypothetical questions as I am very good at thinking with pure, apathetic logic and THEN throwing morals and consequences/requirements for various scenarios into the equation. The animes I know the most about are Naruto(up to Shippuden), Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z(indifferent to GT, and have simply spoiled myself on YouTube in regards to Super), and Bleach(never read the manga so I didn't see the Quincy arc.) I am interested in fics involving My Hero Academia, Harry Potter, anything Marvel or DC, Percy Jackson, and I can't really think of anything else. Crossovers involving all series mentioned with other series are also something I like. Feel free to message me about Stories or Ideas as I like to think about and understand characters and I am heavily introspective as well as highly empathetic to others. I will also offer up advice and sometimes even stories or examples/explanations connected to my own advice should others PM me about any problem or question that requires wisdom and consideration." -Quotes from Myself and Other Sources- QUOTES (some of my favorite quotes some from bleach, Naruto, or from the good people at Fanfiction.net) "Every single one of us has a fanged beast hidden within the depths of our minds. It lies there, waiting in the dark reaches of a person's soul and it appears in our lowest moments. It doesn't matter how strong you think you are. When the beast comes, it is impossible to control. It can even end up hurting those who are closest to you. But if the monster can be tamed, reigned in with the strength of your will, it can become a magnificent power... and can even make your dreams reality."- Unknown (if you know please tell me so I can give credit) "Where an eagle soars, a beast may prowl." - DethStryque (From a mangafox member) "A weak opponent in the past can become a dangerous one in the future." - Giving to Beast-Keeper-9 by a fellow Fanfic writer KK Prophet "I'll never back down again and let someone else rescue me."- Unknown from a Mangafox member "I have long since closed my eyes, my only goal is now in the darkness."- Sasuke "Time is a great teacher, unfortunately it kills all of its pupils." -Louis Hector Berlioz "Cower before the power of the beast."- Unknown "Pain is my ally and Fear is my weapon."- Beast-Keeper-9 "A man with nothing to lose is capable of anything."-Unknown “And so the vulture shall consume the dead and the beast shall live on once more.” -Unknown "If you close your eyes, hatred will always be there. Like an apparition, it will expand."-Naruto manga cover "Because our entire universe is made up of consciousness, we never really experience the universe directly we just experience our consciousness of the universe, our perception of it, so right, our only universe is perception."-Alan Moore "Violence is not the answer. Instead it is a tool we use to draw conclusions and solve problems."-Unknown "Enemies are made for all sorts of reasons. From the moment one makes an enemy, until one breathes their final breath, they are in battle."-Unknown "The gears of time are constantly turning. We are only here to observe."-Ultimo "If I am what I have, and I lose what I have. What am I."-Unknown "A fighting spirit without hatred is like an eagle without wings."- Aizen Sosuke "In our world... we must stand alone to fight for others."-Unknown "Whenever you cross swords with an enemy you must not think of cutting him either strongly or weakly; just think of cutting and killing him." -Unknown “I have a rendezvous with death, at some disputed barricade, but maybe you should take my hand and led me into his dark land and close my eyes and quench my breath. I have a rendezvous with death and I to my pledging word am true I shall not fail that rendezvous.”-Gears of War 2 trailer "People live their lives bound by what they accept as correct and true. That's how they define "reality". But what does it mean to be "correct" or "true"? Merely vague concepts ... their "reality" may all be a mirage. Can we consider them to simply be living in their own world, shaped by their beliefs?"-Itachi "Two paths... too far apart to be absolute destiny, yet close enough that it can only be fate." -Naruto manga "I ain't such a saint that I can promise to risk my life for strangers. Neither am I scum to sit quietly while people are getting hurt before my eyes!"- Kurosaki Ichigo. "Is it possibly humans can exist without actually having to fight. But, many of your kind have chosen to fight. For what reason? To protect something? Protect what? Yourselves? Your future? If you kill people to protect yourselves and this future then what sort of future is it and what will you have become? There is no future for those who have died. And what of those who did the killing? Is happiness to be found in a future that is grasped with blood stained hands? Is that the truth?." - Lacus Clyne in Gundam Seed "Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. "I'd rather betray the world than let the world betray me." -Cao Cao "It's not a sense of justice. Protecting my friends, and finding my own path is how I live life. If you measured good and evil deeds by current laws, I would be responsible for many crimes. The same way you like to hone your skills and live your own lives, for me too it's simply prolonging something I enjoy doing. That's why I only fight those that pique my interest; it's not justice at all. And if it means being able to protect a friend or becoming stronger, I don't and will not play fair. I'm a dishonest, cheating human being who hates losing." - Unknown "War does not determine who is right only who is left..." - Unknown "Why do I have to fight with such a strong guy? I envied the weak ones. The souls of everyone in our group of friends wasted away and disappeared just from being around us. From loneliness we divided our soul in two. We don't know which was the original, or maybe it was neither of us. It's just that there was no other way to escape from the loneliness. I envied the weak ones. If you're weak, then you can gather in as large a group as you want. I want to become weak and if that's not possible, then I at least want to make friends that are as strong as me." - starrk (bleach) "I suppose it is only to be expected. You have my pity. There is no such thing as "truth" or "lies" in this world; there never has been. There is only plain, hard facts. And yet, all beings who exist in this world take only those "facts" that are convenient to them, and take them to be the "truth". They do so because they know no other way to live. However, for those powerless beings that make up the majority of this world it is those "facts" that are inconvenient for their own self-affirmation that make up the real "truth." - Aizen Sousuke "Heroes come and go, but the stories never change, the battle between good an evil will rage on for millenniums to come, yet through out all time there is one thing that has never changed, evil never dies, and heroes never surrender!" -Unknown "Even in the depths of hell blooms a beautiful flower of friendship leaving behind its petals as mementos, bobbing back and forth on the waves may it one day bloom once more the Okama way." - Mr. 2 Bon Clay "In the depths of madness lies the hope of sanity." - Beast-Keeper-9 "Make no mistake war is coming with all it's glory and all it's horror." - Starcraft II trailer "Life is a dream of madman. "I will not stop, no matter what the cost, I will not stop. Even if the world should end and crumble into darkness. I will not stop walking for I do not fear the darkness because I thrive in darkness." -Unknown. "Vision...? What would you know about my vision? My vision would shatter the world you have come to understand, tear asunder your illusions, and send the sanctuary of your own ignorance crashing down around you and everybody else who have dared to follow suit. Now ask yourself, are you ready to see that vision?" - Unknown "What has taken you millennia to create, I erase in seconds." - Halo - You are becoming a snake tomorrow. And as you start to devour people, With that mouth that has eaten others, You cry your love to me. And the same as today, I do wonder. Will I be able to say my love to you? - Gin' final words "It is my loyalty and dedication towards the village and its people that makes my heart strong, if I'm fighting for the sake of those I love and care about, then I care not what happens to this body. For I am the blade that fights for the sake of my friends and their future, as such I have no regrets." - Unknown "Friendship and loyalty? Yeah, I know about that. My burns show for all to see how loyal I am to my friends. Can you beat that friendship? There isn't a single soul alive who can beat the power of trusted allies, because they're just that, a single soul. True power lies in the bonds you create, in the hearts of those you've shared your good times and the bad. So, even if you do defeat this body, someone even stronger would surface and take my place. That's because I have allies I am honoured to have stand beside me and call me "friend". So bring it! You said you wanted to kill my friends, right? I won't let you, because those bonds are all I have! " - Unknown "Loyalty...? Do not hinder my time with such foolish sentiments. I told you all once before, didn't I? I am a lone Fox; trusting nobody, following nobody, caring for nobody, listening to nobody, and loving nobody. I chase those I deem as my prey, and silence all those that are competition. I wag my tail at the sight of blood, fixing my eyes on the next of my prey, always staying the course. There are no rules I follow. Anybody who crosses me... is prey." - Unknown "I once had an entire race killed just to listen to the rattling of their dried bones as I waded through them." - Magic the Gathering card "Change is coming to the world. There are some who fear change and will fight it with every fibre of their being. But sometimes, change is what they need the most. Sometimes, change is what sets them free." - Dragon Age "Morrigan" "There are men who struggle against destiny, and yet achieve only an early grave. There are men who flee destiny, only to have it swallow them whole. And there are men who embrace destiny, and do not show their fear. These are the ones that change the world forever." - Dragon Age "Flemeth" "Wind is a very mysterious force. It is the base for many elements and yet is easily overlooked. Like water, it will always find a way around obstacles and, given enough time, will even be able to destroy the most powerful of structures. Like fire, it is wild and easily will escape control and damage the surrounding. It is a free spirit and cannot be controlled, but only guided. Like lightning, it is fast and deadly, able to strike at an enemy before they even know what happened, without being seen or leaving a trace. Like earth, it can stand up to any opponent and take constant barrages and will sometimes go so far as to reverse the damage, albeit in a different way."-Unknown Yet the wind is the base as water would freeze solid and be unable to move without heat that is taken away with the vacuum-like effect of air. Fire would die out with no oxygen as fuel. Lightning would dissipate as the air is used for static. Earth can be destroyed by either being torn to shreds by a tornado, or just by pure force like that of a hurricane. Wind is known as the key to life while the other elements are the doors." - Kyukaze Fanfic author "Your power is but an illusion of your own perception...and I exist as the instrument of its destruction." - Unknown "Every story has an ending. How will mine end? I don't know yet..." - Unknown "Sometimes there are no words...no clever quotes to neatly sum up what's happened that day. Sometimes...the day...just...ends." - Unknown "UNLESS someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not." - Dr. Suess "This is the way the world ends not with a bang or a whimper, but with zombies breaking down the back door." - Joey Lever "I may not be smart enough to do everything, but I'm dumb enough to try anything." -Beast Boy There is a difference between you and me. We both looked into the abyss, but when it looked back at us; you blinked. -Batman to Owlman "Even in the soul of darkness, the heart of light will still remain." Timothy Guske sent by J. Hellscythe "Have you ever had a dream you were so sure was real?" -Morpheus, The Matrix "People will laugh at your dreams, then hate you when you make them come true ." -Wiz Sitting there in the dark, I had the chance to think about a lot of things, including the nature of the world itself. And after lengthy consideration, I realized something; when all is said and done this world is a unknowable place. On the surface, all appears rational, orderly. But what lies beyond that thin veneer of reason? Stability and reality? Or chaos and madness? What are we really made of in the end? Is there truly any meaning to the lives we lead? Or are we nothing more than hollow vessels? These are questions we can never answer, because we cannot hope to see beyond the world's fragile layer of skin. So we live our lives filled with uncertainty, never knowing who or what we truly are or what the future will bring, all we can do is imagine. Life becomes an unsolvable mystery with any number of twists and turns awaiting us. And that's enough to fill any soul with terror! - Asura "It is our choices that show what we truly are far more than our abilities."- Dumbledore "Death is just another path one that we all must take." Gandalf “You must forge your own path for it to mean anything.” -Leo Valdez (The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan) “I figure the universe is basically like a machine. I don't know who made it, if it was the Fates, or the gods, or capital-G God, or whatever. But it chugs along the way it's supposed to most of the time. Sure, little pieces break and stuff goes haywire once in a while, but mostly...things happen for a reason.” -Leo Valdez (House of Hades by Rick Riordan) "For every choice, there is an echo, with each act we change the world. If the world was reborn in your image, would it be paradise or perdition?" - Bioshock 2 "Life is what WE make it to be." (Someone I'm too lazy too look up") "The world as a whole literally revolves around the actions of everyone and everything: Life gives way to more life and happiness and good will can give way to more happiness and goodwill. Pain and prejudice breeds more pain and prejudice and so on." (Me) "Good and Bad is a Wheel that turns forever and ever, fueled by not just our intentions, but the actions that we do and don't do;" (Me with a bit of someone I'm too lazy to research) "A good person who does nothing good to stop or lessen something bad may very well be no different from the bad person who creates nothing good by doing something bad." (Someone I'm too lazy to look up before being paraphrased by me) "Death is a certainty for Everyone and Everything. The only thing that changes is the When, the Why, and the for What or Whom." (Me) "If matter AND energy cannot be created or destroyed, only changed or transferred, does that mean that everything in existence is constantly being recycled for all that it's worth? Are the particles of every rusting or crumbling building or rotting and decaying plant, person, or animal constantly being brought back to the world and reused by other organisms, structures, and compounds/molecules of various elements? Also, if the cells of living organisms are constantly decaying and reproducing by using energy gained from other forms of matter in the form of food and drinks, does that mean that for all intents and purposes we are all made up of others both living and nonliving? Does this also mean that everyone and everything in existence is a part of one another to an extent, especially since everyone is inhaling and exhaling air made of recycled particles and eating and drinking things that are made up of other recycled particles that also consume various recycled particles in an endless circle of recycled matter and energy?" (Me) "There doesn't need to be a reason to live, only a reason to die. We live because we always have, so just go with the Flow when it comes to life: Make your money, go to school or work, pay your bills or do your school work, hang out with friends or commit yourself to your hobbies, and forever stay true to yourself and your beliefs. experience all that you can without letting your negative emotions weigh you down and spoiling them because your time is never infinite, even if time itself is." (Me) "The question that most with depression fail to even think is "Why do I even need a reason to live in the first place?" Everyone, including myself(up to a certain point) have been too busy thinking of reasons to end it all than thinking of an actual reason as to WHY we should do it in the first place. We have had pulses, breath, thoughts, feelings, and beliefs in the making right from the start. There is no reason as to why we should forsake them just as there was never a reason for us to originally have them besides simply doing so. We have each made choices in life since our introduction to it. These Choices are our own and no one else's. Why should the words and actions of others change or affect them beyond your own casual consideration? You are YOU. You are a house built out of thoughts, feelings, ideals/beliefs and so much more and others' opinions are naught but hurricanes that seek to tear you down. Remain ever-strong and stick to your beliefs unless they are destroying you personally as a house built on faulty founding is doomed to crumble in due time. Only those who don't care for it and accept you regardless are those who you should truly care for as the others don't matter beyond the fact that they too live and have the same choices as you do." (Me) "If you need a reason to live, live for the things you have and every piece of food you ate. Whether it be plant or animal, many things died unwillingly so that you could continue to live. Those chickens, cows, pigs, and turkeys never asked to become your lunch-meat and those trees and bushes never asked to become your paper, lumber, clothing, medicine, or food nor would they ever." (Me) "Life is a Series of Choices connected between Everyone and Everything that also possesses it and death is the absence of life and the Ultimate Sacrifice of Choices and the Connections between them." (Me) "I see life as a massive, multi-section painting that is constantly being tinted, shaded, and toned by every individual who is a part of its numerous individual sections. Life is filled with trillions of actions and inactions, things that have been done, things that haven't, as well as their individual and overall impacts on everything around it which act like cracks in a mirror that forever distort the overall image it shows in one way or another. I believe that each individual person or object has their own palette to completely brighten or darken the world around them either piece by piece or as a whole through each section they are a part of. People and animals alike have one thing in common, and that is they do and THEN think of the impact. What is done for the good of oneself can be bad or neutral for several others, and what is done for others can also be harmful/bad/good for oneself or the group that is dissociated from the one committing them." (Me) Seven Deadly Sins Ability Concept I've had this idea when I watched The Seven Deadly Sins, and over time came up with my own philosophy-based set of powers based on the concept of sin. Each power allows the wielder to warp reality according to their sin and the aspect or aspects of reality they represent. As strong as it may sound, the powers aren't perfect. Each Sin has limited negative affects towards one another due to their similar or even entwined natures. They also are bound by the natural laws of the universe such as Gravity, Newton's laws of motion, the Conservation of Energy, and other rules of physics due to their control of them, thus making each power limited to the wielders own physical might and stamina. These powers allow the wielder to control and to some extent, become parts of reality. The powers are magnified or enhanced by their own nature and can in some ways shape the wielder's mind more towards it. The wielders of the Sins aren't beasts controlled by one of the Deadly Seven, but individuals who accept, respect and maintain the balance of that nature. They aren't necessarily good individuals, but they aren't outright monsters. Each of the Seven Sins can also have their powers canceled or nullified by those with nullification powers or some manner of doing so, but the nature of their powers make their effects permanent and unchangeable unless something of similar nature is used to defy the changes their powers have made. The Seven Sins are each godly at their full potential, but rather weak starting off. Each wielder basically has to do a hellish combination of the One Piece, Dragon Ball Z, and One Punch Man workouts in order to actually get anywhere close to its full potential. The powers are monstrous and their possessors must be as physically and intellectually monstrous to not accidentally maim or kill themselves or others using them. The sins will be listed with their powers, concepts, and limitations when affected by an ability canceler. A copy of this will also be shown as a story on my Wattpad profile Annihilator225. I want to state that if this/these idea(s) match that of anyone else's in entirety then it is unintentional. There are several parts that probably do match as some are a melting pot of abilities thrown together under a sin, and an interpretation of said sin. I have decided to give a title or name of sorts for the ability. Actually using them are optional, however. I also give permission for any to use said idea so long as they credit if it's done without profit. Compensation would be nice if done for cash, but not if the profit is minimal and unbeneficial when divided. Another thing to note is that each of the sins are psionic-based powers. They each possess what I call a "Presence", an aura of sorts that is ever-present but only visible when the wielder wants them to be or when they are under stress or experiencing an intense amount of emotion. The powers are ever-usable when inactive, but the drawbacks are less intense in consecutive use and the potency and effect are more intense when active. Each sin has a different colored as well as a differently sized Presence. These Presences also act as the "Area of Influence" for each sin. The colors of each sin can also change in tone or shade depending on the intentions and size and shape depending on the feelings of the wielder. Besides making the wielders walking mood rings, Active Presence unites the wielder with their sin, making them significantly more prone to indulging in it for the worse while using it as well as granting the potential for devastating super abilities that are unusable outside of being Active and make them tired mentally and physically brittle. It is one of those things that should be used sparingly as it is not unlike a psionic Legendary Super Saiyan state that can transition to 3 on the drop of a hat. As I've already stated, these powers aren't deus ex machina, they are things you tack onto someone who has already made themselves that through intense training, as well as the study of various topics such as chemistry, physics, anatomy, design, and the ways they connect and can be applied to battle. Each of the wielders have to pretty much be Street Fighter or Dragon Ball Z characters physically mixed with a bit of Iron Man and/or Batman intellectually to be able to use their powers. The colors for each Presence are as follows with Neutral/Good colors first and Evil/Chaotic colors next: Pride: Purplish Black, (think Truth Seeking Balls from Naruto.) Color never really changes from intent besides becoming more obvious in purple Envy: "Cash Money" Green/"Your Soul is Mine" Green Greed: White Diamond/Blood Red with Diamond texture Lust: White/Black Sloth: Sapphire Blue/"Borderline Black" Blue Gluttony: Red with White highlights/Black with Blood Red highlights Wrath: Sun Orange/Red Giant Red As a teaser of sorts I'll list my seven nicknames for these powers so you can speculate what they are and to announce that Pride shall be the first to be listed on here and on my Wattpad: Pride: Downfall Envy: Infringe Greed: Overseer Lust: Bless-Bane Sloth: Mad-Lax Gluttony: BioHazard Wrath: BackLash |
