![]() Author has written 7 stories for NCIS, Castle, Bones, and NCIS: Los Angeles. Hi everybody, my name is Laura but I also go by Lalla or Lau, depending on who you are ... I came across fanfiction.net by chance, well not exactly: I used to read stuff on the Italian forum before but there weren't many stories based on my favorite shows ... so I found you, and I can assure you, you've been (and you still are) a great comfort in my bad days both because I get to unwind for a while and because you made me happy to write light stuff again. You know, coming from the kind of school I'm attending (a school where we're crazy enough to still study and translate Latin and Ancient Greek, for example) I usually get to write pretty serious stuff, mostly Literature or History or Socio-Economic essays … boring, but hey, next year I’ll (hopefully) graduate and I need really good grades to get into Medical School so ‘boring’ is needed too! I study crazy hours all day … but I play the piano (very poorly), help little kids with their homework (and my lack of patience threatens to show up every once in a while …) and go out with my friends (I love shopping and I’m really obsessed with shoes and bags). I love cooking and baking … I usually stick with the book but I like to experiment, mostly on my schoolmates, who really don’t seem to mind me using them as guinea-pigs … Other favorite things to do? Reading (go figures), writing (by the way I’ve found out how ‘useful’ philosophy lessons can be …) and watching Tv shows: I started with JAG when I was five and now I’m completely obsessed with all of them … NCIS (because Bellisario is just too great), Bones (do I really need to explain it? Fascinating science and Boreanaz …), Castle (I love New York too much to pass on this, and the story is great, meaningful), Lie to Me (so sad they’re seriously considering to shut it off!) and The Mentalist (my newest interest) … Some other random stuff about me … I’m passionate about Jane Austen, George Clooney, Bach’s music (so rational and carnal at the same time), dark chocolate and traveling. I love chemistry, biology and languages and I’m desperately trying to find time to actually start my CD Hebrew Lessons. I Can’t stand misogynists, prejudices, racism, fanatics and Math (really, I hate it). I don’t believe in coincidences (neither does Gibbs though) nor in Prince Charming. I’m Catholic and I used to sing in my church’s choir till I gave the new parish priest a piece of my mind and I basically called him an insensitive hypocrite … I firmly believe that everybody gets a chance to make it honestly: tricks are for those who don’t have the guts (yeah … try and look at the Italian University system … or at its politics … make me ashamed of being born here …). That’s all folks (for now at least)! Laura |
