This, for me, is a place to put my dreams (and madness) out for the world to see. Makhael is... more than just a character to me; he is an extension of my fears, my rage, my hopes, and my sorrows. He is the brooding old man walking around in a body that looks like the best parts of James Hetfield, Jim Morrison, the Undertaker in his 'Deadman, Inc.' phase, and Jonathan Brandis. He is what I aspire to die as, when I'm old and gray; a warrior-poet, unafraid to stand his ground, utterly disgusted in his own failings, and thoroughly convinced that the human race can be better, but is too arrogant to try.

A/N: I hope to update my fics at least twice a week, but that is entirely dependent on whether or not I am satisfied (or, at least, marginally so) with the depth of each submission.

The Fallen Saga will be written as nine chapters, with five sub-chapters each. I am aware that my premise smacks of Shawn30's Black Orchid, but as a whole, I am not delving into his brand of esoteric erotica; my story will be more of the kind of analytical saga-work that is the staple of O.S. Card, with J.M. Straczynski's unique brand of combat depiction thrown in.

At the moment, I am looking for a beta who does not have so much on his/her plate in real life, as is the case with my current one. The only qualification I require is that you are willing to keep me on something of an even keel, if you take the job. I will bounce ideas toward you as to specific solutions that seize up my muse, and will give you a dossier list of sorts to work from, so that you can ensure that I am not flying all over the place with inane trivia.

By and large, my stories are going to be grittier, darker versions of the memes I delve into. At a later date, I will put up the original saga that started me down this road on FictionPress, but only after I have finished The Fallen Saga, at minimum.
