Author has written 1 story for Misc. Books.

Welcome, one and all, who have honored me with with a visit to my page.

About myself:

I am a Romantic Drama Author and an Elementary Teacher.

For more info on my Cinnamon novels (not posted here), behind-the-scenes blogs, and more, check out my writing website:

I am in love with all things Italian. I have always wanted to play the violin, write a novel, try figure skating, paint a mural, visit the Tuscan Valley, go to a masqued ball, and see the northern lights.

What Inspires Me to Write:

My FF work is based on a brilliant novel written by Dr. Charlie Starr. Most of my inspiration for my original work is drawn from various life experiences. In fact, many of the humorous and touching moments in Cinnamon are inspired by people whom I know and love. It is only through their amazing support and by the grace of God that I have come so far in this journey. I am blessed beyond measure.

Genres/Authors I Enjoy Reading:

I love stories in general, but I especially enjoy literary classics, Christian fiction, science fiction, and fantasy. A few favorite authors are Frances Hodgson Burnett, J.M. Barrie, Rudyard Kipling, C.S. Lewis, Francine Rivers, Ted Dekker, Sherwood Smith, J.K. Rowling, and J.R.R. Tolkien.

A Few Extra Tidbits:

I've spent the past seven years living in eastern Kentucky. In 2012, I married my wonderful husband and moved to Louisville where I work as an elementary teacher. I adore teaching children, many of whom inspired the character Cassia in my novels. (Come hear more of this spunky preschooler's voice in my blog Cassia's Corner.)

My hobbies include drawing with charcoal, swing dancing, singing in the shower, and finding ways to sneak caramel into every dessert. I am also a Broadway enthusiast, an amateur chef who enjoys learning new skills such as using a kitchen torch (no permanent damage was done), and an unabashed Disney fan.

Literature Likes:

Original plot lines, complex characters, villains who are psychologically AND physically strong, variations on cannon (if they work; straight cannon is often very formulaic and gets old fast), truly original OC's, realistic timing/pace

Literature Dislikes:

Predictable endings; unnecessary sex scenes/cussing; flat characters; villains who are ugly, stupid, and use others to do the dirty work; straight cannon in FF (gets boring for me), OOC-ness, and moving the plot too quickly for the sake of finishing a story faster

Read and Review!! Positive feedback and constructive criticism is appreciated.

Strength and Weakness
Atrist is a dark prince from a world where children are designed without weakness. Akiru is a simple girl from a jungle planet where children are natural and loving. She is the Daughter of Compassion-an heiress to a destiny both wonderful and terrible. What will happen when they meet? ((from the novel "Heart of Light".))
