Good day fellow fanfictionerinos!
My name's Hannah. Shock horror it's another hot/raining day here in Sydney, Australia, where the weather is as unpredictable as the direction a bat will fly out of it's cave. Now, a little about myself; I'm a 16 year old high-school student studying English (Advanced), Mathematics (2 Unit), Chemistry, Physics Biology and Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PD/H/PE). To all of you who read this who aren't Australian, that probably meant very little except that I like (and excel at) Science but there is nothing you can do about it. I am the current school captain, member of the SRC, jersey committee, etc.
Hobbies: I like...errr...well...reading fanfiction...reading more fanfiction...oh...school, netball, athletics and every other sport you can imagine (no, chess etc. are not sports).
Likes (in relation to fan fiction):
-Harry Potter - well he is the savior of the wizarding world.
-Harry Potter/Ginny Weasley - destined to be together from the beginning. Der.
-Ron Weasley/Hermione Granger - also destined to be.
-Sounds marginally creepy but I enjoy any angst/death/romance/etc. Harry Potter AU as long as it's well written and not so far from canon that the only similarities are the characters names and setting.
-Twilight - don't enjoy reading the Stephanie Meyer stories, Bella is too helpless and I end up slapping my book in order to slap some sense into her. But fan fiction based on the series is a much more realistic and interesting read.
-Team Jasper - what can I say besides...drool.
-I will read any good Bella/Edward story but afterwards read a new Bella/Jasper story to pick me back up.
-I only read stories over 75,000 words but don't often stray under the 150,000 word mark as I finish them in a number of hours.
-I also love anything which has a spy/mystery story behind it and I don't care which characters/relationships are involved when there is an espionage-based plot.
-The Host - I love the original book and have read it 132 times so I'm sitting on the wings for a good (long) fan fiction to come out the is well written and actually makes sense.
-Grammar, spelling and correct punctuation - I will not read any poorly written work or anything with exceedingly bad grammar etc. I can excuse these mistakes in translated works but in anything else I find some of the grammar and basic sentence structure, almost appalling.
Dislikes:
-Harry/Hermione - blurghh...I just threw up in my mouth. Seriously, I find that relationship so disturbing, it's almost incest.
-Bella/Jacob - see above.
-Male Pregnancies - not physically possible for anyone even if they are magical/vampires.
-Use of canon dialogue - is it really that hard to write your own speech.
-I'm not a big fan of, but can accept slash, femslash, non-canon pairings besides those listed, or character bashing.
I am planning something big, like 200K words +. It will be a Harry/Ginny story but most probably an Independent!Angsty!Harry and Slytherin!Harry and/or Slytherin!Ginny, and I don't like it but it will also most likely involve some Dumbledore bashing.
