Author has written 1 story for Twilight.

Hello dear viewers,

My name is, for security reasons, not displayed, but many know me as Rani XD. I am a young teenager currently somewhere in Australia, with a passion for literacy. I've been reading and writing since a very young age, and I am really quite obsessed with fantastical themes. I'm also quite a gamer, and love a lot of art as well. I not only write stories using other people's OC's, but my own characters. Since kindergarten it has been my dream to become an author, and know as I am older and know it's not so simple, I still strive to improve in my English (and other languages too) so even when I get a not so precarious occupation (such as a Primary school teacher or a magazine journalist) I'll be able to write in my spare time - and hopefully become a published author.

I was introduced to fan fiction when I joined a wonderful Internet community called 'Princess Peach.net' as I was a fan of the pink parasol bearing lady. I never really knew what led me to do it, but on a whim, I started thinking about what would happen if Peach did this or if this happened to her, and soon I was writing it. Not long after that, I found myself posting my first ever fan fiction on a forum, and that's when it started.

I haven't actually done much fan fiction, as mine usually tend to be long and by the time I've finished it the fad is over for that particular subject. Still, I do believe I write very well, and (with all modesty) quite a few people like to read mine too. You see, when I write I don't just put down whatever I feel like making my characters do. I do a lot of research, and try to make my stories realistic enough to be believable as what the OC would do, yet still entertaining and surprising. Of course, I do modify characters a bit, like making Hermione Granger understand Quidditch more or making Artemis Fowl not so conceited - just to suit my story but usually preferences.

To be honest, I've only attempted about 10 fics, and only about 3 or 4 of those are ones I actually meant for others to read. The others are just little spoof's I felt like doing, or ones that are completely fail. Also, I have a very funny (and not-so-good) tendency of starting a story, being completely hooked for about a month, and suddenly realising it's stupid and just leaving it. I never really knew why, until this really inspiring day I'm about to tell you about.

One of my favourite authors had been, at one point, Emily Rodda, and a year or two ago I was ecstatic to find that she was coming to Australia, and that I could see her personally! Obviously, I went, purchased the entire set of Deltora Quest books, got them signed by her, and took a picture with her (And she's really nice by the way. She was so patient even though we were the last ones in the line), but that's not the inspiring moment I'm talking about. She spoke to everyone, and people asked her questions, but I really can't remember exactly what she said. Only one thing stuck with me and my poor memory, and I still remember it now. She said:

"The most important part of a book is the end. You might have a very nice beginning with interesting characters and exciting plots, but there's no such thing as a good book without a good end. And you can only write a good book, if you know your end. You might start with a great hero, going on a quest to save his damsel, but suddenly stop short and have no idea where to go on from there. And that's when you ruin a book by finding youself writing about a boy waking up and realising it was all a dream"

Well, it's not exactly what she said, and in actual fact she said nothing like that with the boy going on a quest or anything, but I remembered the main gist of what she did say, and that's quite an achievement for me. Basically, what she said was that you need to know the conclusion to your book before you start it. And I've learnt so much from that. Always, I would start start my story, and suddenly end up in this complicated heap where I have no idea where to go. Since then, my ability has certainly soared, and my writings are so much better than even I expected, and I am no longer ashamed of what I write.

The reason I made a fanfiction account is to share my stories with the world, see what other people have to say about them and to improve. I thrive on feedback, whether it is good or bad. I repeat: whether it is good or bad. I absolutely love constructive criticism, and truthfully, I love being praised as well. So, if you don't like my story, feel free to say so, but you should tell me why. If you like my story, I'd like it if you told me why too.

Good e.g. Instead of "This story rocks. I love it!" say "I like how easily you change from one scene to another. Also, you write very descriptively and I have an colourful picture in my mind, which is great!"
Bad e.g. Instead of "This story sucks. Stop writing!" say "Your tenses are all wrong and the plot is too cliched. You also have to check on your punctuation!"

You get the idea?

Thanks for reading!
