Four years have passed since the end of the war, but as they meet again and encounter many obstacles, Zuko and Katara realize that whom their hearts truly burn for is one another. Can they love each other knowing they will hurt those that love them? What will become of them when a new enemy appears with a vengeful plot to destroy everything they had worked for to bring peace?

Katara is princess of the Southern Water Tribe and Zuko is prince of the Fire Nation. Katara recently had her 16th birthday, and is now of marrying age. A peace offering is made to settle the war between the two nations and it will bring the two together.

His father. His country. Himself. Zuko had a lot of people to redeem himself to before he joined the gang, and now he finds himself trying for redemption in Katara's eyes after he makes a mistake of falling in love with her.

Rebuilding a nation requires sacrifices. Knowing that the Fire Nation would never accept a Waterbender as it's Lord's wife, Katara removes herself from her fledgling romance with Zuko and encourages him to find greatness with Fire Nation noble Mai. Zutara
