My pen-name/nickname is Funky, or Cardinal Funky. I have a long past with writing and have been told that what I write down, whether on paper or on a text-editor, is pretty good stuff. So, with that, I was advised to start writing. Well, it turns out that I actually enjoy writing down words, phrases and other similar texts and turning them into stories people would enjoy reading.

Why I Started Writing Fan-Fiction

In all honesty, when it came to writing fan-fiction, it was something that I just so happened to have done, during my spare time within high school. I started out thinking about how cool it would be for me to create a story that involved me and my love for Blaziken, a Pokemon. Unfortunately, at the time, I was also afraid to show the fact that I liked that kind of thing. Furthermore, I was afraid of putting myself, my own person, within a story that I wrote, since many people do not seem to enjoy it. Anyways, I ended up using a name to cover my true self and wrote the story. If anything, it was probably one of the best decisions I have ever made, whether I look back on it and either cringe or just laugh.

To this day, I cannot tell you exactly why I started writing fan-fiction. It was just something that turned out to be an activity that I enjoyed doing.
