Zacharias: Yes, we are two people, yes there is currently nothing here... everything is in progress... Dede: Also, I've linked this page to a website I created in high school (what's up me from another time) for an English Project. So, hello to my English teacher if you are reading this! Zacharias: Hi! Speaking of school, that's kind of the reason we haven't been posting. Those who read this probably know how often school Dede: We have been working on a cool 1960s Batman story that for now we're calling Challenges. Until we can post, please enjoy this little sneak peek. Zacharias: Content is subject to change in the final product. Challenges Sneak Peek from chapter 1 or 2: Not many people knew it, but when Marsha’s aunt Hilda poured the unknown potion over them in their first encounter (Season 2, episode 24, Marsha’s Scheme of Diamonds), she had actually used a Persona Potion. The potion divided the once Dynamic Duo into their core personalities, or as some say, alter egos. The effects were completed overnight, which was quite the wakeup call in the morning. Luckily, Bruce had kept a level head and told Aunt Harriet he was donating the mountain space below the manor to a new Bat-Cave for the Dynamic Duo, as well as a room for each. “Can I confess something to you, Alfred?” Robin asked before the butler could leave. “Of course, sir.” “I’m not really concerned about Harvey. Well, I’m not concerned about his recovery. What I am concerned about is that he’s going to steal Batman from me,” Robin explained. “I don’t think you have anything to worry about, Master Robin. You are Master Batman’s son; Mr. Dent is merely a friend,” Alfred assured. He went back downstairs to the kitchen, leaving the Boy Wonder to think. Robin still wasn’t sure if he could trust Harvey; he wasn’t sure if he could trust himself around the man either. Fortunately, Robin had school today and could talk things over with his friends. When Bruce enrolled the Boy Wonder at Woodrow Roosevelt High, he told the administration office he was “Richard Grayson’s twin brother, Robert Grayson.” Of course, Robert was Robin’s new alter ego. His “disguise” would be an ensemble similar to Dick’s, with the exception of lensless glasses that Robin wore. Only Wayne Manor’s residents, and the twin’s friends knew about “Robert’s” secret. The friend group was small, containing only the twins, Shaggy Rogers, his mental health canine companion Scooby Doo, and a japanese exchange student, Tadashi Hamada. All five were in the same grade, and had almost every class together. They had become close friends during March of their freshman year when Joker threatened the school (season 1, episodes 15 and 16, The Joker Goes to School and He Meets His Match, the Grisly Ghoul. This was before Dick was split). Every day since, the five would meet under the north oak tree in the plaza -or if it was raining, under the overhang a few feet away- and hang out. That was the first place Robin went the moment he exited the car. He didn’t even go with Dick to the lockers first. Dick, not hearing his twin’s usual footsteps, turned just in time to see him enter the plaza. He hurried to catch up with him, nearly knocking over several people on the way. “Holy hussle, you’re in a hurry to see the others. Something about last night?” Dick wondered. “Yeah, there’s so much I need everyone’s help with,” Robin agreed. The twins met up with the other three, who were playing card games. “Hey guys!” the twins greeted in unison. They jumped up from the game and began bombarding them with questions. “What happened with the Evil Extractor?” “Is your head okay?” “What’s gonna happen to Harvey?” “Why didn’t you call us last night?” “When will-?” “Guys, not so loud!” Robin whispered, silently acknowledging the glances the other students were giving them. Shaggy and Tadashi had asked the questions so quickly that not even the twins could understand them from a foot away; it was doubtful any of the students heard anything. “But, like is your head okay or not?” Shaggy reiterated. “I’m okay. I doubt the news gave you much info, so here’s the full story-.” -Spinning Bat Symbol Transition- “-and the worst part is I don’t understand why I’m so infuriated by Harvey. I’ve never felt rage like this before and I don’t know how to control it. Honestly, I don’t think I can control it,” Robin concluded. Of all of the things Shaggy, Tadashi, and Scooby had heard or witnessed regarding the twins, this was by far the most disturbing. Tadashi glanced down at the ground for a moment before grabbing his things and rushing off. “Tadashi! Wait!” Robin called, but it was too late. He held his head in his hands as the tears began to slip out. Shaggy wrapped an arm around his shoulders. “Like, don’t worry man; ‘Dashi will come around,” Shaggy assured. |
