So far, I have created 11 different C2 groups to help me organize and keep track of all my favorite stories, plus I was over the limit of what you could have listed in your profile's Favorite Stories at the time (which was only 50, then later 100). Currently, I have several different Harry Potter groups, one Star Trek: Voyager (formerly a Janeway & Chakotay group but has expanded to include all my favorite Voyager stories), one CSI - Sarah & Gil group, one Castle - Beckett & Castle group, one Law & Order: SVU group, one Doctor Who group, and a Batman & Wonder Woman group in both the Justice League and DC Superheroes categories. I used to have a Harry Potter group dealing with Lily & James before Harry entered the picture, but I had largely lost interest in the Marauder era stories, so I moved all those stories (which was only about 20 - showing my low interest level, even when I was reading those stories) to my Favorite Stories and turned it into a L&W: SVU group. I might also start a Harry time travel C2 group or a few other groups that are floating around inside my head but am undecided at the moment (and I'm not sure that I want to deal with another fanfiction.net profile and an additional email account just so that I can create another C2 group).

I can always use other people's recommendations to find good fics (though not slash) for any of my C2 groups. Just send me a message with your recommendations and I'll try to read them within a week of getting the PM. I generally will not read anything under 1000 words per chapter. (For Harry Potter fics, I generally prefer over 2000 words per chapter.) My C2 groups are an organized sorting of my favorite stories. Since all my C2 groups are a giant favorite stories list for myself, I'm not going to add a story that I don't like to my C2 groups (or my profile's Favorite Stories). As such, I generally won't add a story to any of my C2 groups if I don't like the story's concept or the author's writing style, no matter how well written the story may be.

HARRY POTTER GROUPS
AU Harry Sorting - Harry gets sorted into something other than Gryffindor. This could take place during his original sorting, or he could be placed into a different house in later years. Can be AU childhood, Severitus, Lily & James not dead, etc.
Harry During Hogwarts Years - Good Harry Potter fics that occur during Harry's school years. No time travel to another time period, though may be within Harry's time at school . No Lily & James alive!
AU Harry Childhood - Alternate Harry's childhood, i.e. raised by Sirius, Remus, nonDursleys, Lily & James, or even treated differently during childhood when raised by the Dursleys.
Harry & James, Lily - Harry and James or Lily. Time travel fics, Harry raised by his parents, Lily or James never actually died and then return, Lily & James come back from the dead, etc.
Harry After Hogwarts - Stories about Harry Potter after Hogwarts, whether he graduated or not. No Lily or James!
(on Favorite List, no longer a group) Lily Evans and James Potter - Stories of Lily Evans and James Potter before Harry Potter comes into the picture.

OTHER GROUPS
Star TreK: Voyager - Great Voyager Stories - Stories that feature any of the main Voyager characters, though most of the stories will be centered around Kathryn Janeway since she's my favorite character. Can take place before, during, and after the Voyager series. A lot of the stories will probably be Janeway/Chakotay, because this started community as Janeway & Chakotay Fic.
CSI - Sara & Gil ship fics - Sara Sidle & Gil Grissom ship fics. Also contains good fics that center on just Sara or Gil.
Castle - Beckett & Castle ship fics - Kate Beckett & Richard Castle ship fics, though fics can take place before the romance occurs (i.e. the two are still with other people). Also contains good fics that center on just Beckett or Castle.
Law&Order: SVU - Great SVU Stories - stories that feature the main SVU characters, though it will mainly contain stories centered around Olivia Benson and some around Elliot Stabler.
Doctor Who - Great Doctor Who Stories - Stories that feature any of the main Doctor Who characters from the new series, though most of the stories will be centered around Rose Tyler since she's my favorite character.

Batman & Wonder Woman ship fics - Batman & Wonder Woman ship fics. Also contains good fics that center on just Wonder Woman or Batman.

DC Superheroes Category

I can't stand stories where the author won't take the time to proofread the story. The pages are so filled with spelling and grammar mistakes that it looks like a seven year-old wrote it. Spell check is useful but not perfect. Commas and periods are also a necessity. If you, the author, can't or won't do it, then get a competent beta. Also, going over the story a second or third time, or having someone else read it first, will help you pick out any inconsistencies in your own story before you post it. The story doesn't have to be perfect though. Remember, posting a polished story shows that you actually have pride in what you write.

I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan. I enjoy reading stories about Harry or Lily and James. I generally can't stand Ron, Dumbledore or Snape for a variety of reasons, and Ginny is often annoying.

I don't have any preferences when it comes to ships, although I won't read a story with slash as the romance for any of the main characters. I also don't like reading stories where the main focus is romance. Harry is trying to fight a war and stay alive, not woo a girl. I have read very few romance stories that remember that fact.

I am also a big Star Trek fan. I LOVE Deep Space Nine and Voyager.

I enjoy writing Star Trek stories more than Harry Potter, but I don't have anything quite developed yet. My problem is that I enjoy looking at how a scene could go and then trying to redo that scene several different ways, making changes to the characters and their actions with each "re-shooting", which makes it very difficult to pin down the specifics of a scene to my satisfaction so I can write it (strangely my dreams happen in a similar manner where I redo the scene in various ways, changing elements with each revision).

My favorite Star Trek couple is Jadzia Dax and Worf. Jadzia is also my favorite Star Trek character, which explains why Deep Space Nine is my favorite series. Unfortunately, I hate Ezri Dax and have tried to block out most of Season 7 that she was in.

My favorite Voyager character is Kathryn Janeway. I used to be a die hard Janeway/Chakotay shipper, but recently, I have found that I also enjoy reading stories that pair Janeway with other characters like Paris, Tuvok, or even Harry or Ayla. I was disappointed with how the series ended and most of Season 7 in general. (My sister and I are still trying to figure out the Chakotay & Seven thing.)

I read She-Ra and Walker, Texas Ranger stories when I find some good ones, which have been increasingly hard to find. I used to read Charmed stories about Prue, but stopped looking when I met more failure than success, though I do try searching for them every so often when I feel in the mood for a Charmed fic.

I also enjoy reading Wonder Woman stories based on the old television series with Linda Carter.

I enjoy the Justice League cartoon. My preferences are Batman & Wonder Woman stories, preferably when they're a couple. Although, if you talk to my sister (the comic book/musical junkie), I don't know enough about the characters to fill a teaspoon let alone form an opinion on romances. Funnily enough, she actually agrees that Diana & Bruce are perfect for each other. Which begs the question of why she discounted my opinion in the first place when it agrees with her?

I used to be obsessed with CSI. The Las Vegas series is my favorite but Miami is pretty good. My favorite character is Sara Sidle and I was extremely depressed when Jorja Fox left the show. I lost interest after Sara & Gil left, Sara coming back to the show didn't renew my interest. I am definitely a Sara/Gil shipper, but I will read good stories that pair Sara with other male characters.

My newest obsession is the crime dramas Castle, NCIS, NCIS:LA and Law & Order:SVU. I love the dynamics & bantering that exists between Detective Kate Beckett & novelist Richard Castle, plus the rest of the cast. I'm not sure whether I like Ziva's replacement on NCIS, but I still enjoy the show. From Law & Order: SVU, I really like Olivia Benson & Elliot Stabler, plus John Munch's sarcastic wit is funny.
