I've read one too many stories with long drawn out will readings where Sirius leaves Harry more money than the UK's GDP. In response I came up with this abomination.

Harry and Hermione aren't around and Ginny and Ron decide to claim the victory over Voldemort for themselves. It would probably help if they weren't idiots. H/Hr Jealous Weasleys, EWE, slight alteration to horcrux narrative.

Dumbledore said that 'Love' was the 'Power He Knows Not', well Dumbledore was wrong. Watch as Harry learns what the true 'Power He Knows Not' is, learns his place in the world and takes control over his life. Rated M for safety, this will be a more realistic war than the children's story we got in Half-Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows.

post GoF pre OotP. Harry, still reeling from Cedric's death, reading about being called a delusional attention seeker and knowing everyone'd denial about Voldemort's return decides that the only way he'll survive this is if he fakes his death and leaves Britain. How will this affect the war?

At some point in our lives we learn that we have to take a grain of salt for everything we see, hear and read because just because someone says it's the truth, doesn't mean it is. Shame the Wizard world doesn't know that.

Life after the battle is full of surprises. Unexpectedly returned friends bring relief. Trouble is never too far away, but our heroes always find ways to deal with it. Slightly AU, but will remain as close to canon as possible.

When Harry dissapears and no one knows where he is, the WW considers him a fugitive. Tonks decides to investigate it and the things go to the hell. Lots of bashing and hints of H/Hr.

Dumbledore is Dark in this story. Harry finds out after the triwizard tournement who his real friends are. Tonks visits and they kiss, then Hermione shows up and let's him know what she wants, then there is Dobby and his menagerie of friends to spice up the mix. Did I mention the goblins wish to adopt him. This is a Harry/Tonks/Hermione/ Daphne/Astoria/ Luna story.

Harry is locked after his fifth year for his 'safety'. What happens, when he uses the same logic of the Order? Probelms!

After the ride on Buckbeak to save Sirius, Harry and Hermione discover just how much their Machiavellian manipulative headmaster enjoyed messing with the lives, and made fools of, Fudge, Snape, Sirius, Harry and Hermione. As per Canon. But Harry has his Hermione and they win. MoF Dumbledore. Ronald corrected and everyone not associated with the dark lord got their happy ever after.
