My first fiction was a retelling of the story of Squanto. Unsurprisingly in retrospect, it became time traveling economic fiction so that the self-insert would work properly, though I never got to ride the time machine.

My next was an "improvement" on Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Books in order for the two main characters to be raised in South America by Yaguaras, unsurprisingly it became an essay in anthropology, and world building, but also about being the change one wished to see in the world. My next was the same thing again, but as an urban fantasy.

The next, to my knowledge, is totally original and contained my first magic system. Then another totally original setting, containing my first religion and an interesting interlocked self-government anti-system. Then came a crossover between Myst/D'ni and that world. Unsurprisingly it is a sprawling romantic comedy disguising another economic fiction.

Then an original urban fantasy inspired by the movie The Water Horse, which has sprawled and sprawled and sprawled some more. And then for no reason at all, I started throwing my favorite characters into the Harry Potter universe to see how they'd adapt. But I doubt anyone wishes to see those crossovers unless they already know and love those characters as much as I do.
