Losing something can mean many things. It can be seen as an obstacle to overcome or something that is so overbearing that it weakens you. Friends and enemies will react in certain ways to this loss. It can create rumors and worries, change somepony fundamentally and emotionally, and will be used.

After Dunstan had "passed", Victor Helsing must take his place in order to fight the hunters of the Nightmare. Unfortunately, the Nightmare hunters' eyes are set on Remnant. Grimm. White Fang. Bandits. Psychopaths. Cinder. They all have one thing in common, they corrupt the world into a cruel place. Ruby saw the world's true face, cruel and unforgiving. She has tasked herself to destroy the corruption, avenging all that died too early and never deserved it. Ruby will complete her task, either by herself or with others.

Sonic and his friends are given a choice by Dr. Eggman to sacrifice the lives of their friends and families to save themselves or sacrifice themselves to save everyone, but the guardians think otherwise and must ask Sonic, his friends, and Eggman to stop the approaching Darkness, and then settle in their new home, since theirs was destroyed by Oryx, the Taken King.
