Hello! I'm daychaser and I am from the United States. I've been a casual reader of fanfiction but the idea for Red Skies at Dawn kept gnawing at me and so I had to put pen to paper, so to speak. It's my first fic, but I've done creative writing in the past. Nevertheless, I have done nothing of this magnitude or scope, so bear with me!

Red Skies at Dawn is sort of a writing exercise to me. An important, soul-absorbing writing exercise. I started off with a very big idea, because when I think of a world to put these characters in, I want to make it as big and epic as possible. I love stories that show an ensemble of characters and wanted to portray that. The story is definitely a guinea pig though- I'm going to play with OCs, different POV's, and narration styles. I'm just hoping I'm creating an engaging story and improving with every chapter, and hopefully you will enjoy it too!

In all honesty I haven't seen all of Hetalia. I have only seen a few episodes but I guess my mind latched on to the idea of personified Nations and ran a marathon with it. I believe that with the idea of human Nations people can explore so many things, past events, human emotions, and relationships all entwined with history and actual reality. It's a cool base to play with.

Anyway, my favorite characters are:

1. England
2. America (biased? maybe. but I still love him!)
3. Prussia
4. Denmark
5. Hungary
6. Canada

But really I love all of them! I'll have practically all of them in my story. :)
