![]() Author has written 1 story for Legend of Zelda. Welcome! I am Shnarf, and I wear a lot of hats. At 26, I'm a wife, a mom, a graduate student, and an aspiring doctor. That said, I don't have a whole lot of time on my hands for writing. I get little snippets of time here and there when my daughter is sleeping, but trying to craft literary beauty while she is awake is impossible. Toddlers crawling over keyboards and your pulling hair: not conducive to creative flow. I have a ridiculous obsession with The Legend of Zelda. I fell in love with the franchise when I was 10 and I played Ocarina of Time for the first time. I fangirled so hard when Breath of the Wild came out. It was insane. My husband is used to my fangirling by now, and he just knows to expect it. Writing is a form of decompression for me. With all of my hats, I'm regularly under a lot of stress, and writing is a way for me to escape all of that. I am the slowest writer in the history of writing, as I obsess over each word I put on the page. As a perfectionist, I have this subconscious belief that my first draft needs to be worthy of being the final draft, so each and every word takes a loooong time to get from my brain to the page. Therefore, you will not get weekly updates from me. Ever. ...Okay, it has happened BUT it only occurs when I set out with the intent of writing one chapter and end up splitting it into two because it becomes a giant, hulking monstrosity approximately four times longer than I thought it would be. The point is that I write at my own pace. When I do post new material, it will not be subpar...I think. What do I know, though? I'm just over here, trying to put out stories and characters that don't suck. The biggest motivator for me is knowing that people are actually reading what I write. If you like what you read, let me know. If you don't like what you read, also let me know. Your feedback keeps me going and pushes me to write more. I honestly don't think I would be able to finish any stories I start without the support of my readers. I am always looking to improve, so don't be afraid to give a critical review. I need those. Thank you for your support! An update (9/10/17): Sooo...graduate school is no joke, people. It's on a whole different level than undergrad. I don't know why I was expecting it to be the same-old-same-old, but it is definitely not. In other words, expect long delays between new chapters. I guarantee that I will not leave you forever hanging, though. Not Anymore is precious to me, and there is significance behind me writing it, both for myself and hopefully for my readers too. It's gonna happen, and the wait will be worth it. Please bear with me here on this one. |
