Starkiller succeeds in destroying the resistance base. Rey is a prisoner whose Force abilities have only just been discovered. The Supreme Leader orders a marriage between her, and his apprentice, Kylo Ren, as he foresees a band of force sensitive warriors bred from them. But Kylo Ren is not the monster she thought he'd be, and she is not the burden he'd thought her to be.

Her grip on the sheets tightens, her spine arches as she reaches her peak and- And then her room's door slams open.

Rey and Kylo's continued conversations after their fight with Snoke lead them to realizations about themselves, each other, and the Force that they never anticipated - first among them being that everything is much more complicated than they wish it was. Slow burn.

They are trapped in an odd galactic storm and crash into an even stranger planet, where Rey is divided from the rest of the group. Mal and Inara are my favorite couple, so this mostly centers on them, their relationship, and their family, but other characters make appearances as well, including some of my own.

Daenerys slowly closed her eyes and inhaled a deep, shaky breath of crisp air. There was a part of her that knew she should not be where she was; Jon should be resting and regaining his strength while she mourned for the death of her dragon alone in her cabin. However, as much as she silently yelled at herself to turn away from him, she couldn't do it. She couldn't leave him.

Kylo Ren has renounced his title and destroyed the Supreme Leader, but his own psyche is in tatters after the event. Locked away while what's left of the Republic argues over what to do with him, Ben would just as soon let his own life end. Someone else, however, is not as ready to give up on him.
