This story fills in some of the gaps between the scenes from The Walking Dead, as if they were deleted scenes like you'd find on a DVD. It focuses mainly, though not exclusively, on Carol & Daryl because they're my favorites. I'm following the path of the show, just with extra emphasis on the Caryl relationship.

Daryl, Carol and Sam are a family, living together in Alexandria. They didn't start out that way. And it wasn't an easy road. The Story of Us explores how a young boy who lost his entire family was able to bring together two damaged people and help them heal. This is the story of how Carol and Daryl fell in love with each other and how Sam became their son.

Quite simply: Carol prepares to move on. A post-2x07 alternate canon series picking up not long after the events of the episode, but no real timeline is established. Because I needed to write something inspiring. 21/? Uploaded.
