![]() Author has written 3 stories for Dragon Age. Note: Wash Away, Burn Away is finished. Last chapter now updated. Time to start plotting more fanfic! :D About Rachael – Writer, bard, ex-model, budding journalist, kittenmage, tea lover, hopeless romantic. Apparently. Self-confessed Dragon Age addict and absolute screaming fangirl now based in South East England. I'm fairly new here, so there is a distinct lack of stories right now, but I'm hoping to add to the count fairly quickly. I have one finished story and another two in progress but as I fancy writing longer fiction things are going to have to go up on a chapter by chapter basis! I'm a legal secretary by day, but I've been writing fiction for a little while, starting off with short stories and now I've finished the first draft off my first full length novel. The editing process is keeping me very busy and I'm really hoping something comes of all the hard work I've put in, but I also want to make sure that no mater what I still write for fun and as a bit of an escape from everyday life. When I'm not working on fiction and when the mood takes me I write reviews/articles for any sites that need writers, mostly about PC gaming (I'm sticking to what I know!) I've recently gained an honourable mention for one of my short stories, actually in my first fiction competition, I'm still going with my competitions in the hope for more good comments and publications of my work! Other than here I keep a blog at and a twitter account for my rambles here: https://twitter.com/#!/TiMar_Firebrand. Feel free to pop along and say hi :) Current stories: Complete Wash Away, Burn Away - Anders/Fenris - slash. This was a bit of an experiment for me, my other half calls me a literary prude because most of my writing is the book version of "build up the tension and atmosphere, pan camera away so nobody sees the action". In an attempt to practice until I am perfect I am writing this completely out of character to see how I cope with it. Now finished, the story ended is a more "romantic" way than I had first planned, but I'm pretty pleased with my first attempt at writing something more "smutty". In Progress The Wanted - Anders and Hawke and the years after Dragon Age 2 - more my usual style, hoping to build this one up to a longer story but I don't want to give away too many details! This is likely to come through in dribs and drabs as I'm writing it around other commitments. After Dusk - This is an Origins story around Alistair and my female Grey Warden Sharessa. The story is going to take place after the Blight but I'm hoping to make it into a new adventure rather than re-writing parts of the game. Here's hoping I'm up to it! The first chapter, which is really more of a prologue is up now and I'm hoping to add more to it soon! Please do have a read of my work and feel free to review if the urge takes you - I'm always looking to improve my writing so any comments that people have will be very much appreciated! |
