Everything with Rachel has been slow since Quinn made the decision to stand outside of that stage door eight months ago, offering a smile and quiet congratulations. A natural disaster prompts a successful Rachel Berry to record a tribute album for the victims and enlists her old Glee club for help as she believes it will appeal to a wider audience. The only person not to respond is Quinn, leaving Rachel no choice but to seek her out.

When bones fracture, they have to go through three stages before they really heal. They need to react, repair, and remodel, and it takes time. Not taking the time for these steps means that the fracture will never really go away. Arizona didn't take the time to properly heal; she skipped steps. Rachel and Kurt turn out to be surprisingly long term co-habiters. Rachel and Santana turn out to be surprisingly good friends. Rachel and Brody turn out to be 'Brody and Rachel', and that's what they are, now. And it turns out Rachel isn't very good at being perfectly fine, thank you.

She thinks her favorite moments might just be walking along the streets in the quieter neighborhoods with Rachel's hand tucked into her elbow as they talk about frivolous things. Quinn can't remember them ever having a conversation in high school that wasn't weighted with deeper meaning. "No one's fated or doomed to love anyone."

Seeing Rachel again is like seeing the sun after two months of darkness; she can feel the endorphins dancing through her body, and her skin is tingling, and her heart is racing, tripping and skipping over beats. Listening to Quinn Fabray tell the story of her high school years, Rebecca Reed can't help but think that that girl deserves to be with the one person she really and truly loves. Maybe it's the set of her strong jaw, or maybe it's her perfect posture, but whatever it is, she's managed to capture every pair of eyes in the bar. Eleventh in the Don't Blink series.

Quinn has always had a way of looking at her, and Rachel is finally paying attention. It all starts with a song, a stage, and NYADA's spring musical.

Rachel's been invited to her best friend's wedding and she doesn't want to go alone. Who better to act as a girlfriend then the girl she's currently enjoying a friends with benefits relationship with. What if the make-believe suddenly becomes a reality?

For the first time in a very long time, Quinn doesn't see any shadows smothering Rachel's inner glow. The intensity of her bright gaze is aimed solely at Quinn, and she nervously moistens her lips, basking in the warmth of Rachel's smile. The hope inside of her chest blossoms like a flower opening under the sun, and her fear begins to fade away.

AU. Rachel comes out as gay after dumping Finn. People slowly start to find out and, when Head Cheerio, Quinn Fabray finds out, Rachel knows her life will never be the same again.

AU. Rachel and Quinn used to date until Quinn dumped her at Nationals without telling her why. When she drops off the radar all summer and comes back to school with a new attitude Rachel has a feeling things are going to get worse before they get better.

The lines couldn't blur with Rachel. They hadn't. Quinn would close her eyes and think that it was just like the times she was on vacation and see the boats so far in the distance that they looked like they were in the sky.
