![]() Author has written 6 stories for Star Wars, Les Miserables, Bible, and Count of Monte Cristo. I started on this site with an idea for Star Wars Episode VIII back in Feb 2016. Since then I've caught the writing bug. I have been heavily influenced by the literature that I love... namely Jane Austen, Dickens, Dostoyevsky, Charlotte Bronte, Tolkien, Lewis, et al. I was also influenced by Chris Stuckmann's analysis of action movies and I think as you read you will see how that affected the story. The crafting of a good story involves being purposeful in character arcs. Each character had to be different at the end of the story from the beginning. The story has to have an introduction, escalation, climax, and resolution; both in the main story arc and in the personal character arcs. Added to this, each of these arcs needed to be contained to each story, a concept that modern movie makers are abandoning as they are making more and more sequel-driven films. I hope that the readers can see this. If not, please PM me your thoughts. And my favorite point is that the external conflict and the internal conflict for the characters ought to reflect each other. That makes for a very satisfying read. Check out my Dark Bounty series where I really hit that hard. As for what I like. My favorite literature happens to be in the 1800's. Perhaps this is because I appreciate Christian themes and in the 1800's there was good writing and redemptive story lines drawing from the true redemptive story, Christ. I love stories that are real, and fan fiction need not be excluded from that. Themes of the human condition: love--lost and gained, hope, despair, guilt, redemption... these things are true to us all and the best stories capture that. I love reviewing and reading. A review from me means that you have a good grasp of the original source material, that you give me vivid access to your world with detail, that you have realistic and natural dialogue with an understanding of how relationships work, and most importantly that you grab hold of something true to our human condition. I know that I am not perfect and my writing has much to criticize; and for that reason, I will not withhold a review from anyone that falls short of perfect. There is always something to admire and encourage. If you would like me to review your work, PM me. I would be happy to. I do not write heavily critical reviews. If I see a problem with your story I will offer advice by PM only--I think it is shortsighted to criticize a work in a review--these stories are works-in-progress and are subject to change anytime. Why would I put a permanent critique on a temporary work? I can't find every story, so if you think I would like your work, let me know. I am having fun reading similar story lines to mine. But please don't PM me for "World Building." I will read your story, but I won't help you make up a story. Your story must be yours. Finish it and I will read it. As for future works: Disney has slated Rogue One, Episode VIII, A Han Solo spin-off, Episode IX, and a Boba Fett spin-off. Seeing how I have three of these five movies written. I am definitely attracted to the idea of writing the other two. So below is the list of my stories, their genre influences, and possible future releases.
