Update From the Author 8-13-18

This one's less dramatic than the last update I promise!

I had a brief resurgence in fanfiction writing following Cars 3, followed by a long silence for awhile. It happens with me- since 2014 my writing abilities haven't been as excercised as they should be.

I wanted to write an update following the removal of two of my old stories from the Super Smash Bros fandom. While those stories (Within the Shadows and The Shadows Within respectively) were at one point stories I greatly considered as well written and exciting, I no longer believed that they represented my actual writing ability. That's not to say I think highly of my abilities as a writer (because, if we're being honest, I'm godawful at it), but those were OLD stories.

And when I say OLD, I mean they have not aged well when I get curious to reread them and can't even make it through without wanting to fight past me.

Ironically, deleting them comes at a time where I'm once again thinking about a specific set of characters I created for them and reworking backstories for said characters, hence the want to reread them.

There's a high chance I may never post anything on this site again, and I'm certain there is at least a single person on the planet who is disappointed by that. There might not actually be anyone who cares.

There's also a high chance that down the road, I might come on here and post a good deal of fanfiction for some new fandom I've entered and change this to my usual I'M BACK BITCHES kind of profile. Who knows?

The point is, I've been on this site a long damn time. It used to be that you could see me grow up just through the author's notes in my stories, which were long and wordy and unnecessary (and spoiler heavy). A lot of my oldest stuff no longer exists because it became more of a thing where explaining why I even tried was harder than saying it was fun. I've loved to write for a long damn time and sadly I don't much write anymore.

Anything left on here is the stories I'm proud of. I'll be honest, I'm picky about the stories I'm proud of. Sometimes I absolutely walk away from a story feeling like I nailed it, even if it looks like a disaster to everyone else. I'm sorry to anyone that had to witness past disasters.

I'm 25 now and have a job and not a lot of an attention span for writing and I miss it, I really do. But for now, ya'll get to enjoy this thrown together collection of halfway decent stories.
