Author has written 1 story for Lord of the Rings.
Because it amuses me to write a ridiculous bio - here commences my silliness.
Penname - LilIrishfaerie
Name - Ellie
Other interesting information - I am a twenty-something who is trying to finish my degree in costume design and tech, so that I can go and make some theatre magic. My fiance sneers (lovingly) at me when he knows I'm occupying my time reading fanfic (I can't help it. It's my pet obssesion.) My partner in crime and fiction, Mizalaye, and I have a nifty website with all sorts of good reading that they won't let us post here. It's under a whole lot of construction right now, though. I want to own an Irish wolfhound and a hedgehog after I get married.
Things I Love:
Musical theatre; Danger Mouse; period clothing,Victorian and Elizabethan in particular; Irish music; Lord of the Rings; Phoenix Wright; Harry Potter; well-written historical fiction (it's not as easy as it looks); The Shadow; Kirby; Legally Blonde (the musical); Les Miserables; Sherlock Holmes; Sweeney Todd; amusing randomness; a lovely cup of tea; penguins; Disney movies (up until about '97-ish).
Things I Don't Love:
Slash; actors who think a wardrobe hand can be yelled at for no reason; missuse of the comma (it's called "direct address"); people who don't bother to use something as simple as spell-check; when one of my dye projects fail, just because the dye was being stupid; gratuatious sex (is it really that necessary? You can get the point across without have to spell everything out); Mary Sues; spiders; authors who have to see homosexual relations in a good male/male friendship (just because they're close friends does not mean they're sleeping with each other).
Ships that I sail:
Lord of the Rings:
Anything that you can support with canon works for me. However, I have been known to squee for Faramir/Eowyn, and hobbit romances.
Harry Potter:
Harry Potter/Ginny Weasley - The only thing I really, really wanted for the end of Deathly Hollows
Ron Weasley/Hermione Granger - Fated from the start. Full Stop.
Percy Weasley/... - Ok. I just want Percy to have someone who loves him, even though he is such a stupid head sometimes. If an author wants to make it Penelope Clearwater, I'm fine with that. Although, I think I'd like to see someone actually have a go at a story with him and Audrey. It could be interesting, seeing as how all we know about her is her first name. I also hate it when people try to hook him up with Oliver Wood. Grrr.
Remus Lupin/Tonks - How cute are they?
Everyone who is already married at the beginning of the series (Molly/Arthur, James/Lily, etc.)
Legally Blonde:
Elle Woods/Emmett Forrest - Two outcasts looking for love, even if they didn't know it at the time. (Sigh) Also, Laura Bell Bundy and Christian Borle are just adorable together.
Phoenix Wright:
Miles Edgeworth/Maya Fey - What? Seven years is not that big of an age gap. Plus, Miles and Maya Edgeworth just sounds right. There is a lot that the two of them could learn from each other. It would be an interesting romance to watch delvelop.
Phoenix Wright/Franziska von Karma - I don't think she's kinky just 'cause she knows how to use that whip. Phoenix could do alot to help heal the scars she has from growing up with that father of hers.
On second thought, the reverse of these ships (Miles/Franziska and Maya/Phoenix) is also quite lovely, but I do think that I like Edgeworth and Franziska together the most when they show that strong relationship developed from growing up together in the Von Karma house. It's so cute how they call each other big sister and little brother even though he's older.
Ok. I came across the section for The Shadow a few days ago and WOW. The author Stephensmat and the Spiderman/Shadow crossovers (some of which were co-written by Kimberly Murphy-Smith, whose Shadow stories I've loved for a while now) are FRIGGIN' AWESOME! If you have any interest in either of these genres, you should go read. Too cool for words...
The only thing I have up right now is a poem concerning the A-Z of Tolkien's classic. I do plan to post more, but theatre and classes and wedding planning are consuming my life right now. If you can't tell by looking, I haven't written anything for a while. I'm getting back eventually. I promise.
