According to several quizzes, I… -Am the daughter of Athena/Hephaestus/Poseidon. And once I got Zeus. Let me explain all that…Athena: I’m really smart and strategic, but I don’t have ‘the look.’ Hephaestus: I am ALWAYS fiddling with my hands. I cannot sit still and watch TV. My hands have to be doing something! I’m pretty good at building and really into engineering. Fire is really cool in my opinion. And I want a pet Festus. Poseidon: I am seriously in love with water. I LOVE the pool and the ocean. Whenever we go I NEVER leave the water! Zeus: I find it strange I got this option when I received Poseidon multiple times before. But I enjoy flying in airplanes, so…UPDATE: I always thought I would be a daughter of Athena. But then I started leaning towards Hephaestus. But then I spent a day the pool and literally did not come out for six hours, and somehow willed the water to splash my annoying cousins. I seriously think I’m a daughter of Poseidon right now. I really don't know. -would thrive at any quidditch position. I literally cannot decide. If I HAD to choose though…hm…not a chaser. Maybe seeker…I think I'd either be the keeper or a beater. UPDATE: I think I would be a good seeker. -Am Divergent, with a recurring high aptitude for both Dauntless and Erudite -Would fall in love with Fred Weasley at Hogwarts -Would fall in love with Leo Valdez in HoO -Would be a Gryffindor, nearly getting into Ravenclaw -Apparently love taking quizzes Your Godly Parent is... ZEUS You like being in charge. 6/9 POSEIDON You feel at home in the water. 7/10 HADES You’re not that much of a people person. 2/10 DEMETER You own a garden. 3/10 ARES You often start fights. 4/10 ATHENA You have an insatiable thirst for knowledge. 7/10 APOLLO You’re very creative and artistic. 7/10 HUNTER OF ARTEMIS You dislike boys in general. 4/10 HEPHAESTUS You have a way with tools. 9/10 APHRODITE Every guy/girl swoons for you. 2/10 HERMES You like pickpocketing your friends. 9/10 DIONYSUS You’re the life of the party. 3/10 Well, okay then. Top picks for my godly parent are: Hephaestus and Hermes (who knew?) followed by Poseidon, Athena, and Apollo. Did not see that coming! So who’s YOUR godly parent? Answer in the poll! (assuming I didn't forget to make one) My Top Five Favorite Fandoms:
Why I LOVE OC stories: An OC in the story makes it so much more interesting! You can see how a new character impacts the story we all know and love, and changes the plot the author set in the original book! I’m pretty sure 99% of my stories have OC’s in them. I might have slightly over five out of forty of the fanfics I’m planning to write that do not have an OC in them. Twenty of my favorite ships (in no specific order)
(I am very aware that I got a bunch of these ship names wrong, but...I don't really care. Whoo!) The PJO/HoO series is officially over *cries.* I not only want to thank Rick Riordan for writing these phenomenal books, I want to thank every character in these fantastic books for shaping my life to be the way it is today. Without them, I wouldn't be such an avid reader, or have such a huge interest in and knowledge of mythology (especially Greek...) Thank you to the following characters... Thank you Percy Jackson, for teaching me that loyalty is one of the most important things in the world. Being loyal to a fault isn’t a bad thing, although it can be a fatal flaw. I always feared I was too loyal and it would hurt me in the end, but I now admire the quality. Thank you for showing me that you don't have to exactly fit 'the image’ of what an ideal hero should be. You don’t have to be perfect to succeed. To be a hero. Thank you for showing me that love is something so powerful that you'd fall into hell for that person. Lastly, thank you for teaching me to always be strong, no matter which challenges I face in life. Thank you Annabeth Chase for showing me that brains beats brawn any day. I’ve always been known as the smart one. I use logic in situations, and every class in my schedule is Honors (except for gym, but seriously, why do we even have Honors Gym?) I appreciate my smartness, and know it’s a powerful asset. Thank you for teaching me that you don't need magical powers or special skills to be awesome. You’re awesome for being you. Thank you for teaching me that fear isn't something that should stop you, that you should push through it and that something great will be waiting on the other side. Fear is inevitable. You will face it eventually, you may face it everyday. Everyone has fears, multiple of them. They shouldn’t stop you. They should drive you. And lastly, thank you for teaching me that no matter your appearance, you can always be taken seriously on an intellectual level. Thank you Jason Grace for teaching me that the best leaders in life are often the most flawed. Nobody’s perfect. Thank you for showing me how to take charge of a bad situation, and be pretty badass! Thank you for showing me that you always have the opportunity to choose your own path in life. It’s YOUR life. Seize the reins. Don’t become a doctor because your parents want you to be if you hate it. Don’t pretend to like something or do something you don’t like or change yourself at all to fit somebody else’s image of who you should be. Be YOU. Be unique. Thank you Piper McLean for teaching me that beauty is only skin-deep. Sure if you’re beautiful, you may grab a person’s attention. But personality keeps it there. Thank you for showing me just how powerful love can be. People do crazy things-pretty damn near borderline insanity-for love. And thanks for teaching me that being the underdog can be pretty awesome. Being thrust into the spotlight isn’t always a good thing. Winning something when no one expected you could brings on on new type of satisfaction. Thank you Leo Valdez for teaching me that a little laughter can go a long way. I’ll admit that Leo is my favorite of the HoO characters. I just feel like we’re so alike. I usually use comedy to help during a situation. It can go a long way. Thank you for showing me how to put the safety of others ahead of your life. Do things for the greater good, even if it’s not ideal for you! When I volunteer, I feel good. When I won a huge bag of marshmallows and saw a hungry little kid who wanted them more than anything, I gave it to him without a second thought. Thank you for showing me that everyone finds someone in their life that they cannot live without. I have yet to experience the feeling of love (besides my family, of course) but I have plenty of time. I’ll find 'the one' eventually. Thank you Frank Zhang for showing me that being a little dorky and awkward is okay. I’m the queen of awkward and dorky. And you make it look cool! Thank you for showing me that the best leaders come from the most unlikely places in the most unlikely forms. Don’t underestimate anyone based on looks or background. For all you know, they could be the future president. Thank you for showing me that life is short, so we have to make it last. Live life to the fullest! Don’t have a reason to think ‘what if?’ Thank you Hazel Levesque for teaching me that everyone deserves a second chance. If you fail first, don’t give up! Learn from your mistakes and try again! Thank you for showing me that age doesn't matter when you're saving the world. Anyone can make a difference. Anyone can be a hero and save the world. Thank you for showing me that there's a little magic in all of us. It may not be the kind of magic that makes things appear out of thin air, but it’s magic nonetheless. Thank you Nico D’Angelo for showing me that when someone you love dies you can move past it and live on. When my grandmother died I thought it was the end of the world. It’s been four years, and I’d be lying to say she was never on my mind or that I’ve never cried over her recently, but I lived. I moved on with my life, because I have to accept the fact that that person is gone and now is my time to overcome the obstacles and accomplish something great. Thank you for showing me that not everyone is who they seem to be. For showing me that being different isn’t a bad thing. It’s an amazing thing. Thank you, Reyna, for teaching me that leadership means putting your life on the line to do what's right. Do what’s right, and everything will turn out right in the end. Sacrifice your life for the greater good. You know what’s right. Follow your heart. Thank you for showing me how to save the world…in style! Thank you Thalia Grace for showing me how to save someone you love. Loyal to a fault, as always. Thank you for teaching me that family is forever. I couldn’t imagine life without my family, or not doing something for them without a second thought. And my best friends-my family not by blood-they’re included in this. Thank you for showing me that you don't need a man to be happy. We are girls, we are independent, and we can be happy no matter what. Thank you Luke Castellan for showing me that there's a little bit of good in all of us. Even if it’s buried under layers and layers of evilness and bitterness. Thank you for showing me how to be a true hero. Most true heroes do it on instinct. And for teaching me that sacrifice for the greater good can change the outcome of the worst situations. Sacrifice is powerful. Thank you Zoë Nightshade for teaching me how to put your past behind you and focus on your future. Don’t dwell in the past, keep moving forward! Thank you for showing me that family is who sticks by you until the end, not necessarily who’s blood you carry. Thank you for teaching me that your heritage and blood don't define you, as you are who you are. Thank you Sally Jackson for showing me that the color blue really makes everything better, from food to hairbrushes. I was right this whole time, blue IS the best color! Thank you for showing me that sometimes you need to make sacrifices for the greater good. Thank you for showing me that love for your family runs deeper than I ever could have imagined. Thank you Grover Underwood for showing me that you should always chase your dreams, no matter how insane or impossible. Thank you for showing me that you should never give up. (I have a feeling I forgot so many inspirational characters…) Lastly, and most importantly, thank you, Rick Riordan. Without you, I wouldn't have met any of those characters, I wouldn't have fallen in love with them and their world, I wouldn’t wish these people were real so often or ship them so hard... I wouldn't be the person I am today. Thank you for changing my life. Debate: First Person VS Third Person Do I really have a preference? I've been asked this so many times. It depends on the story, really. Sometimes the insight of first person enhances the story, or perhaps the overall view of third person will add depth. MY FAVORITE STORIES At this point in a profile an author may write about their own stories. Well I'm going to be nice and provide free advertising for my favorite stories. (In no particular order.) Mortals, Meet the Seven! (We're All Okay) -This is written by one of my real life best friends, Megan, and the reason I was inspired to create an account. It's also a really good story, and Megan has over 1000 reviews! Wow! Go support her if you're not already. You won't regret it, it's a nice story. Basic plot: just read the title. Status: Permanent Hiatus. Multi chapter. I Got a Boy (flyingcrowbar) -Ah, Percabeth. The perfection of the pairing never ceases to perfect me. It's also excellently written and I have been obsessed with it for the past few weeks. Basic plot: Annabeth has become Andrew Chase, simply by cutting her hair and changing her clothes. She attends an all-boys school and finds herself falling for her roommate, Percy. It kind of sounds cliche but trust me it's really good. Status: Complete. Multi chapter. To The Grave (Grimm Sister) -Ooh Harry Potter, a truly great fandom indeed. Wow this story...it was so good. It includes all the little secrets that were kept pent up inside of Harry Potter characters for all those years. The secrets they carried to the grave. Really makes you think. Basic plot: secrets Harry Potter characters never failed to keep. Status: In Progress. Multi chapter. Captain Hot Stuff (Winekita) -Ah, my friend suggested this. It was cute. Caleo is just adorable. I often find well-written AUs interesting, as long as the plot is strongly developed. Basic plot: Leo is the head of a pirate ship, the Argo II and they capture the princess Calypso. Status: Complete. Multi chapter. My Inspiration (Winekita) -Just a really cute one-shot. Worth a read. Basic plot: Caleo's daughter is auditioning for an art school and Leo is her inspiration. Status: Complete. One-shot. The Blood of Olympus: A Heroes of Olympus Fanfiction (foreverskysong) -I have no words. None at all. Go read it. Basic plot: go read it. Status: go read it. Go read it. As It Seems (weasleychick32) -Aw I love this. It's a marriage law fic and it's very well written. The plot is developed and you see the maturation of the characters. Basic plot: it's about a girl named Cora (I admired her spirit, very likable protagonist, in my opinion) who is forced to marry a supposedly dead Fred Weasley. Complete. Multi chapter. Dear Mama (amour de amour de amour) -Very, very sweet one-shot. Plot: Leo and his mom. He writes a letter, and doesn't realize she responds. Complete. One-shot. TRIO: Crossed Hearts, Double Crossed, Star Crossed (Whatever Makes You Break) -GeorgexOC. Just really good. REALLY good. Go invest some time in this. Hearts: Complete. Double: Complete. Star: In Progress. All multi chapter. TRIO: It Happens in Threes, The Plot Thickens, Reckless Abandon (FredFanatic) -One of my first stories on this site. Holds a place near and dear to my heart. I love this so much. FredxOC. I have read this at least twenty times. Happens in Threes and Plot Thickens: Complete. Reckless: In Progress. All multi chapter. Summer at The Burrow (readyslavery) -Really good read. Tons of plot twists. Nicely written. Complete. Multi chapter. FredxOC. Of Boys and Broomsticks (readyslavery) -Sequel to Summer at the Burrow. It's only a few chapters in but I LOVE IT. It's ADORABLE. It has the makings of a terrific story. Now they're back at Hogwarts, and it's Triwizard year...In Progress, multi chapter. The Talk (JenValjean24601) -I don't know how I stumbled upon this. I seldom read non-book fanfics. Les Mis is a book, and it's one of my most desired reads, but I haven't gotten to it yet. However, I recently saw the live show and I absolutely loved it and keep humming the music. I saw the movie too, which is also really good. I somehow found this and I how to say it's amazing. Basically, Courfeyrac gives the sex talk to a VERY confused Marius. For those of you who don't know Les Mis, I would still read this because it's hilarious, even if you don't know the characters. Marius is so confused and naive in this, and it's adorable. One-shot, complete. This is HILARIOUS, just saying it again. AND NOW...COPY PASTE TIME! If you've ever wished you could go into a book and strangle some of the characters for being so incredibly dumb, copy and paste this into your profile. (WHY DIDN'T YOU USE THE MIRROR, HARRY?) If you've ever talked to yourself, had arguments with yourself, and/or lost arguements to yourself, copy and paste this into your profile. If you wait(ed) for a letter from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry when you're eleven, copy and paste this into your profile. (Still waiting...) You keep a pen in your pocket at all times. You have a blue plastic hairbrush for good luck. (I have two...) You wore blue and sang "Happy Birthday" to Percy Jackson on August 18th. You were freaking out on August First because you thought it was doomsday. When people ask you who your favorite book character is, you say The Seven. You laugh whenever someone says dam. You're not on team Edward or Jacob, you're on Team Leo. (Team Leo for the win, bishes!) You keep an eye on that one kid with a limp and a weird laugh, thinking he's a satyr. When you reread PJO, you look for signs of Nico di Angelo's crush. You always remember the sacrifices made across both series. (R.I.P., Bianca di Angelo, Zoë Nightshade, Charlie Beckendorf, Silena Beauregard, Ethan Nakamura, Luke Castellan, Bob the Titan, and Damasen the Giant. Let's all take a moment of silence for these guys.) You DON'T hate Piper McLean, Frank Zhang, or Jason Grace. (Let's face it, they're badass, just like the rest of the seven.) You got Blood of Olympus as soon as it came out, and are pressuring your friends to read it. (They just won't get the dam books...) Repost if any of those things apply to you. I just reposted this, because it is all too true. Also, I realized my cousin’s birthday is on doomsday…oh my gods, what does that mean? RUN, GABE!* *And no, my cousin Gabe is NOT Gabe Ugliano. He’s an adorable little child. The Percy Jackson pledge: I promise to remember Percy, If you are a true Percy Jackson fan post this on your profile too!
