![]() Author has written 2 stories for Sailor Moon, and One Piece. Hi! I'm eighteen, entering my first year of uni. No, there's no way I'm telling you my name. There's always the possibilities of stalkers, you know! I'm not that dumb. (although my personality usually has me speaking to complete strangers. Oops.) I like watching anime. But yes, I do love a very wide range of books, from long-winded stories to funny mangas. I do prefer shounen manga, however. I'm a tomboy, as you can very well see. However, I do tend to skip descriptions I find to be too descriptive. I wonder if my own stories are like that? Anyway, unfortunately for all the vampire and werewolf fans out there, I make it a point not to read vampire stories, fanfics, or anything of the like. It kind of creeps me out. And the whole Twilight debacle scarred me. Sorry to the fans. And for that matter, I absolutely HATE horror stories and movies. I once stayed up past two trying to calm myself down after watching an anime episode about a cursed house and a blood-bathing maniac. (I can't help it, I have to watch it. Is there something wrong with me?) *hyperventilates* ANYWAY, I'm getting to the topic of my fanfics. I live in my own kind of imaginative world, mixing up people of different worlds and putting them into my own. After I come away from a movie or anime or contemplate a book, I always wonder 'What if?' 'What if Percy Jackson accidentally touched the River Lethe without thinking dry'? I've signed up for Fanfiction so I can finally put my ideas down onto paper. Well, the Internet. When I grow up...gee, isn't that the one question everyone asks themselves at least once? I've asked myself that same question several times, and each time it changes. First, it was a teacher, then a principal (what was I thinking??), and a lawyer, then a singer. And I happen to like science and maths too, plus I'm a pretty good student...but no, I'm not really an all-rounder at all my subjects. But I think I will go into the science/medicine field. As you can see from my, er, quite long escapa-absences (what? I didn't say escapades, not at all! Where'd you get that idea from?), school is taking up a lot of my time. Okay, enough of my ravings. Signing off, Frost Glaive P.S. If you're interested, I am also on Wattpad, where I post my original stories and whatnot. The pen name is the same, but with an underscore between the words. Anime/manga I have read/am in the midst of watching/reading: One Piece Bleach Code Geass Pokemon (don't like the Unova gen and beyond, though. Got boring.) Sailor Moon (manga is way better! Oh, but I did watch Sailor Moon Crystal, the new season they're making that follows the manga more closely...) Tokyo Mew Mew (why did I watch this one anyway...?) Sakurako-san no Ashimoto ni wa Shitai ga Umatteiru (not very good, in my opinion) Shingeki no Kyojin/Attack on Titan Nanatsu no Taizai/Seven Deadly Sins (great story and action, but the ecchi is seriously getting on my nerves) Fruits Basket Full Metal Panic! (Season 1) Kimi Ni Todoke (manga) Yu-Yu-Hakusho Fairy Tail Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT Card Captor Sakura Tsubasa Chronicles (what a sad manga) Rurouni Kenshin Pretear Sword Art Online (light novel as well) Accel World (light novel) Toaru Majutsu no Index (again, I was reading the light novel and not watching the anime) Himawari! Fullmetal Alchemist (2009 anime; also the manga) Angel Beats! Blue Exorcist Death Note (manga) One Punch Man There are probably more but I can't be bothered to try and remember them. And wow, my taste in anime is quite varied (but mostly shounen). They're not listed in the order I like them. Just in the order that I remember/add them. Books: umm, there's so many, I don't even know. I guess I'll just put my top picks in no particular order... Mistborn Trilogy (expanded series now) by Brandon Sanderson. Other Sanderson books are great as well, but Mistborn was amazing. Obernewtyn Chronicles by Isobelle Carmody (started to get disappointing towards the last few books. Too thick with too much speculation and not enough action.) Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling Lord of the Rings by Tolkien Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini Old Kingdom Trilogy by Garth Nix, as well as his Keys to the Kingdom series The Belgariad and The Mallorean by David Eddings (though I do prefer the former) Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer Artemis Fowl series and Airman by Eoin Colfer Crowthistle Chronicles by Cecilia Dart-Thornton Wizard of Earthsea quartet by Ursula LeGuin (Tehanu was a disappointment for me, though) Bartimaeus Chronicles by Jonathan Stroud, and Lockwood & Co. Ranger's Apprentice by John Flanagan Sevenwaters series by Juliet Marillier Song of the Lioness by Tamora Pierce Alex Rider series and Power of Five series by Anthony Horowitz A Posse of Princesses by Sherwood Smith Princess Academy by Shannon Hale (however its sequel, Palace of Stone, was a letdown for me) Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan (also Kane Chronicles; haven't read Magnus Chase) As for games: Pokemon! (As before, only up to 5th generation) Harvest Moon games, and its spin-off Rune Factory games Ace Attorney Fire Emblem: Awakening Halo (unfortunately, I haven't gotten my hands on IV and above) A little bit of Assassin's Creed Elder Scrolls: Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim Runescape World Ends with You Final Fantasy (III, IV, VI, VII, VIII, X, X-2, XII, Revenant Wings, XIII, XIII-2,as well numerous spin-offs such as Crystal Chronicles, Tactics A2, Type-0 HD) Kingdom Hearts saga Dragon Quest (IV, V, VI, IX, but in my opinion, V was the best out of those) Chrono Trigger Kid Icarus: Uprising Ghost Trick Phantom Detective Legend of Zelda (many) Golden Sun series If you learned at least ten Japanese words from anime (thus justifying it to be "educational"), copy and paste this onto your profile and add your penname. haaschiibrownii, author in the making123 ,narutofreak10, Jazzcat1234, don'tletthewingsfoolyou, one piece girl 99999, Starry Roses P.P.S. I'm in the midst of teaching myself Japanese now; I'm up to perfectly memorising hiragana characters. I started maybe a month ago. I only get a couple tips from friends who've started learning long before I began. The University professor challenged his students with this question. "Did God create everything that exists?" A student bravely replied, "Yes he did!" "God created everything?" The professor asked. "Yes sir", the student replied. The professor answered, "If God created everything, then God created evil, since evil exists, and according to the principle that our works define who we are, then God is evil." The student became quiet before such an answer. The professor, quite pleased with himself, boasted to the students that he had proven once more that the Christian faith was a myth. Another student raised his hand and said, "Can I ask you a question, professor?" "Of course", replied the professor. The student stood up and asked, "Professor, does cold exist?" "What kind of question is this? Of course, it exists. Have you never been cold?" The students snickered at the young man's question. The young man replied, "In fact, sir, cold does not exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is, in reality, the absence of heat. Every body or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-460F) is the total absence of heat; all matter becomes inert and incapable of reaction at that temperature. Cold does not exist. We have created this word to describe how we feel if we have no heat." The student continued, "Professor, does darkness exist?" The professor responded, "Of course it does." The student replied, "Once again you are wrong, sir, darkness does not exist either. Darkness is, in reality, the absence of light. Light we can study, but not darkness. In fact, we can use Newton's prism to break white light into many colors and study the various wavelengths of each color. You cannot measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into a world of Darkness and illuminate it. How can you know how dark a certain space is? You measure the amount of light present. Isn't this correct? Darkness is a term used by man to describe what happens when there is no light present." Finally, the young man asked the professor, "Sir, does evil exist?" Now uncertain, the professor responded, "Of course as I have already said. We see it every day. It is in the daily example of man's inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil." To this, the student replied, "Evil does not exist sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there is no light." The professor sat down totally deflated. The young man's name -- Albert Einstein I cdnuolt blveiee taht I cluod aulaclty uesdnatnrd waht I was rdanieg. The phaonmneal pweor of the hmuan mnid. To be honest, my spelling is very good; nonetheless, I find these little tidbits of information extremely interesting. What I'm working on regarding stories at the moment: --Well, if you've looked at my Wattpad, I sporadically update short stories and poems. --Right now, I'm about halfway through my One Piece one-shot rewrite. It'll take a while, though, considering I'm in my HSC year. --I think I'll take up my Sailor Moon fic again. Maybe next year, since I'm busy, as I said. --I'm thinking about writing a one-shot for Fullmetal Alchemist (manga/Brotherhood) once I've gotten my other stories out of the way. I already have my plot skeleton, and it'll be set 3 or so years after the events of the manga. --I'm very into 'what-if' scenarios, so if I write anything else, it'll probably be on that. For instance: what if Kimblee hadn't interfered and Ed was possessed by Pride? Or: what if Rin was dragged into Gehenna in the very first chapter (and maybe what if Satan broke Kurikara that very day)? --Otherwise, please PM me regarding any prompts, and I will try not to be distracted by all the amazing anime, games, and books in the world and WRITE. And not stressing to death about HSC. --P.P.P.S. I am very available to beta for anyone (regardless of how busy I say I am). Thank you for scrolling to the end. Now you're rewarded with my stories! | |||||||
