Series 6 is over and we end with a kiss between Charles Carson and Elsie Carson, hoping for the best as they ring in the New Year. This is how I imagine the episode would have continued or carried on if there was a series 7. This is a response to @Chelsiefan71's tumblr Challenge to help us cope with the Series being over and not having a Series 7 to look forward to.

The Doctor hadn't been trying to look for a way to rescue River Song from the Library. With all the centuries on Trenzalore and his subsequent regeneration, the debilitating pain had managed to compartmentalize itself away in the portion of his brain reserved for bow ties, tweed, and Ponds. But suddenly the opportunity was suddenly there, and he couldn't pass it up.

Elsie and Charles are back to work after they got married. Things don't do so well for Elsie and Charles realises what he's done has probably caused this.

Embarking on their honeymoon, Charles and Elsie begin to process the events of their wedding day and those leading up to it. A series of internal reflections; lengthy, fun & sometimes in-depth conversations; &, interspersed with requisite amounts of playful holiday fun & honeymoon adult times. From Ch19 rating is a tasteful but strong M. Some S5/6 JF canon is blissfully ignored.

Mrs. Hughes is apprehensive about some "aspects" of marriage that she had not considered when she accepted Mr. Carson. This story explores her internal agonies as she tries to come to terms with the problems of a woman in "late middle age" approaching marriage for the first time. Meanwhile, Mr. Carson is dealing with his own demons in a related matter.

A look at the married lives of the Carsons, told through the wedding anniversaries they share together. Various cameos from Anna, Daisy, Beryl, Tom and Isobel, amongst others, helping to show that the life they lived was filled with the friends and family their life in service had given them.
