![]() Author has written 2 stories for Naruto, and Clannad. So... I'm Bored. Welcome to my profile. (There is a story behind my name, but its a rather troublesome one to tell -_-) Well... I like hanging out with my friends, listening to music, playing computer games (Story based rpgs, Casuals of the Storm, POE, or a visual novel), playing cards (favorite game is still Big 2, don't have the reaction rate to play ERS well), reading manga, watching anime, reading light novels and fanfiction. Oh and also sleeping (I love sleep). Anyways... I usually like reading fanfiction more than watching the anime or reading the manga. The expansion of the the anime/manga's story beyond the canon is interesting when done well. Sure there is a ton of garbage on this site, but it makes it all the more satisfying when you find that one fic that is amazingly written. Kudos to the prolific and amazing writers on this site. My favorite Genres: Shonen/Seinin, Romance, and Drama. Nothing is better than some sweet romantic conflict. :) Crossovers really interest me but, I don't usually don't like how they turn out... (Let's give my main character who is literally just a self-insert OC all teh powers and waifus) My favorite Music: Future Funk, Utaite Music (Cuz real singers Vocaloid in most cases), Jazz, and some RnB. I try to stay open to all genres because I believe all have some degree of merit. But, DO NOT play chipmunk-super-high-pitched music near me. I would prefer screamo to that. My View Point on Yaoi: Boredfailure 2017 After watching and listening to girls gush over Yaoi on Ice- error 404 Bored Failure of 3 years ago: I don't understand... but if you like it... good for you. Just... don't include me in gay pairings. Bored Failure of 6 years ago: "I STRONGLY DISLIKE YAOI! I am not against gay men (Everyone has a right to love who they love), but it makes me rather... uncomfortable. Sorry to all yaoi fangirls/guys but... not my thing..." Suggestions to Anime/Manga/Light Novel Lovers: G-Senjou no Maou: THIS VISUAL NOVEL IS AWESOME! But, there is sexual content so read at your own risk. The main character is a badass, but a nice badass in many ways. The heroines all have their own archetypal charm and the other characters have their own interesting traits as well. The graphic quality is pretty good for being a few year old, even though the backgrounds are nothing special. (to be expected in most visual novels) But, most of all, the story line progression is simply amazing. I would go more indepth in this feature, but it would probably spoil the story. G-senjou is a visual novel definitely worth playing for anyone who likes romance, drama, and crime mystery. Fate Stay Night: Anime... doesn't do this series justice. However, the remake of it in the Fall of 2014 by UFOtable should be good. (I'n trying to lower my expectations to avoid being disappointed just in case.) The light novel is spectacular, combining slice of life, badass action, and a dark plot points very well. The lore of the series is very interesting, creating a well developed background of the magus society and the system of magic throughout the story. I personally prefer Heaven's Feel Normal ending for its epic ending. Some of the series, especially Shirou can be cringey at times, but most of the characterizing is okay. My only complaint is the enforced linear progression of the three routes, but that can be avoiding through save file workarounds or simply watching a route through youtube. 2017: Fate Stay Night Unlimited Budget Works was a success and Heavenly Feelz is coming out soon. WOOOO! Air and Clannad: Both are beautiful works of art. In Air, you'll love the cute characters. They all have an interesting problem that the protagonist solves. The chemistry that happens during the protagonist's quests is fun to watch. And in Clannad, you'll fall in love with one of it's heroines.(sorta. Basically you'll support one pairing and feel sad it doesn't happen. Watch the OVAs or play the visual novel if this happens.) All the characters from Clannad are awesome and each has his or her own unique quirk. It is worth the watch. My evaluations of the Clannad and Air are way too high. Looking back at them a couple years later with a less-pathos induced mindset, I find that though the anime versions do look fairly nice (thank you Kyoto Animations), Key's art style is still quite odd. Rather than softening the faces of their characters, they chose to go for a more angular facial structural. This coupled with the extremely large eyes leads to rather odd looking characters in the visual novel. This is ameliorated in the anime versions by Kyoto Animation, but Key's art direction is still apparent. (Go look at some cgs from Kanon, Air, and Clannad... They really are quite odd.) The story for each Key series is still quite good, though somewhat predictable. (If something strange happens, expect the supernatural) Also, I have to say that Tomoya from Clannad is a scrub. He had a bad father figure and can't play basketball with his right hand anymore. Too bad. He decided to make it worse by ditching class and not trying at all to make his situation better. He can be the hero when it comes to others, but he refuses to make himself better. He could have worked hard in academics or specialist subjects after losing his "astounding" basketball career (really... he was only in his 1st year of highschool? Middleschool?...). Even after becoming friends with a lot of people who care about him, he still fails to improve himself. And, when Nagisa dies, he abandons his daughter. He isn't as bad as some protagonists because he is a good guy at heart, but seriously, he should have got his shit together. School Days: Everyone (especially guys) should watch this at least once. But, if you can't handle implied sex (there is no full nudity) and other mature elements, wait until you can. And no, this anime doesn't contain excessive fanservice and is not a hentai. I recommend this because it carries a very important lesson. Don't cheat on someone. Yosuga no Sora: This anime is sweet and approaches the different pairings of the visual novel its based off of in an interesting way. (It doesn't attempt to somehow fuse the storylines and form one ending.) However, there is incest and r-rated content, so watch at your own risk. Not really saying incest is good (biologically: it will lead to higher chance of passing on any genetic disorders or ailments that run in the family, which will then lead to sad times of children suffering from illnesses. Also, the social reparations for this in many countries would lead to relationship problems), but don't be saying this visual novel/anime is bad just because there is such a pairing in it. When it comes down to it, you love who you love. If the two people are happy together and are willing to accept whatever social ramifications come from them being together, they deserve to be together. Anime/Manga Drabbles: Kimi no Iru Machi 200: YEEEEEESSSSS!!! IT HAS FINALLY HAPPENED. PRAISE BE TO JEBUS. *FIST PUMP* \(O)/ |
