General Updates Board

Up and running once again! If you're wondering about the lack of content, I have returned from a writing seminar programme and have been trying out poetry for a while. But don't worry, the next chapter of Idyll is in the works, so just hang on tight!

Take care and happy reading!

If you guys like my stories, it would be nice if you could show your support by reviewing or by PM. I was and still am slightly apprehensive to publishing online because I was scared that nobody would like my stories and I would be really depressed by it and stop publishing. Which I don't want, because I want to share my stories with others, not just write and leave it to gather dust in my computer's storage. So please take your time if you've enjoyed my stories. It may be just a few words, but it's the thought that counts!

The Poetry of Celestials - IN-PROGRESS

Based on my on-going series, Idyll.

Story Description:

The Sunrise of Sol. The Moonrise of Luna. The feel of fatherly Terra. The encompassing presence of Absque. The four entities that compose the harmonious symphony of the land Ars Specus - known to us as Minecraft. And what best to describe their various aspects if not in poetry?

My first stab at writing actual poetry worthy of publishing. Wish me luck!

Idyll - IN-PROGRESS

Story Description:

A trek through loneliness. A journey through emptiness. A voyage across a desert of distress. But hope is the last thing to die in a man. And this man, a Pilot of his own destiny, has come a long way in his quest to find the ultimate paradise - Idyll.

Here it is! This is story is about a man and his epic journey across a lonely desert.

This story is going to be one in a series, so when this one ends, expect a sequel!

The Spiders of Under - DISCONTINUED

This story was one of my writing experiments, playing around with the format and the different ways I could tell a story. It was supposed to be like a script, but then I realized it was really hard for me to write it that way. And also the little side note that I didn't really know what a script was suppose to be written like :P So I decided to stop writing for this series as it started to feel a like chore doing it. Which meant that it wasn't as enjoyable for me to write it anymore. Sorry :(

HOWEVER, I do know how to write a script now (which is in fact lots of fun for me). Maybe I'll pickup where I left off.

Seed of Minecraft - DISCONTINUED

Sad to say, I'm discontinuing this story until I get more writing experience. I'm still a newbie to publishing and the Seed of Minecraft was supposed to be one of those stories where each chapter was supposed to be really long. But it became a chore for me to write and to me, if it becomes a chore, I'm not enjoying it. Which was why I was writing stories for. So after a bit of debate, I decided to discontinue the series. Sorry for you guys out there that liked it :(

But maybe I'll continue it someday when I feel that I'm up to the task.

A Short Introduction

What makes the English Language so exciting? When I was in Elementary School, I went to the school library and pasted on the wall was this huge poster with these words on it:

There is no Frigate like a Book

To take us Lands away

- Emily Dickinson

And that was when I fell in love with reading. A few years after that, I started writing a few stories just for fun. Then is started to grow from there. Eventually, a year after my first story I started this account because of some of the stories that I read here (you can view them in my favorited stories tab down below!). It was really bumpy at first, me releasing those few stories on and off like a leaky tap until I ran dry. But I'm back now. Which I am thankful for.

About Me

I live on the island of Singapore, a young nation born on the 9th of August, 1965. We've had about 200 years and more of history, starting from 1819 when the British established their colony here. Since then, we've come a long way.

I started writing when I was 12, starting out on this old PC that still ran Windows Home Server (I know what you're thinking: AAAAAANCIENT!). Ah, nostalgia :)

In my spare time, I read and write (more like type) and sometimes play a few computer games. Weirdly enough, I don't play Minecraft much, except for the occasional Super Hostile Map that leaves my heart pounding after every session. I hate you Vechs, die in a fire :) (If you get the reference, you must know Vechs. '.' / Hi-five!)

Duck rice is my favorite food. I ate it every Sunday from the age of 5 until 6. Fond memories. Especially stealing macaroni from my sis :3 FUFUFUFUFU.

I also have a few real-life pals that help me out with my writing, namely a fellow friend of mine that helps to correct my grammar. I would like to thank her for giving up her spare time to help me out :)

If you ever meet me in real-life, bear with me. I like to mutter to myself and do my thinking out loud. Maybe that's why some people think I'm crazy... Nah. That's just insane.

What To Expect

I write stories for two main reasons:

  1. It's a source of entertainment for me, a way to express a few ideas that I came up with during the course of the day.
  2. Writing is a way of pouring my stress away into doing something productive.

I aim to write a bit everyday and publish every Friday. But don't make a promise you can't keep; sometimes, I won't be able to. I started this account to write stories for fun on my own schedule and I'll keep it that way.

If you would like to contact me, feel free to PM. (I most likely won't be able to respond immediately though, probably because of time difference.)

Happy Reading!
