Author has written 13 stories for Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Discworld, Doctor Who, and A song of Ice and Fire. Egleriel: lore-fiend and ficcer since 2003. Plot-bunnies may strike from anywhere and at any time. Hopefully I've upped the quality control since the fevered scribblings of 13-year-old Egleriel, but I just can't bring myself to delete them. Favourite fandom for the past few years has been A Song of Ice and Fire (George pls). Being a bit soppy I particularly like anything featuring Jaime/Brienne or Sandor/Sansa, which (let's face it) are only about two chapters short of being canon anyway. Please R&R? Fandom pigeonholes: Team Mystic, Hufflepuff, Revan did nothing wrong, pro-Blackfyre, Praise the Sun, nevertheless the turtle moves Current favourites: A Song of Ice and Fire even if 'Game of Thrones' is the only ending we ever get Brandon Sanderson's entire Cosmere, but especially Stormlight Archive The First Law saga and standalones by Joe Abercrombie, it's not even "grimdark" it's just freaking awesome. Phenomenal characters in a compelling setting Mostly in translation now, Andrzej Sapkowski's Witcher stories and the game trilogy that shares its setting Kingkiller Chronicle, because natch Not sure whether Rick and Morty has stolen South Park's crown as the best animated satire on TV The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch, also love the sequels but the tight plotting and twists of the first set an extremely high bar |
