Clare Quilty, Jr. is the son of famous playwrite and television writer Clare Quilty. In the 1950's, the senior Mr. Quilty was one of the top serious writers working in television, often mentioned along with Paddy Chayefsky and Rod Serling. His work was all but forgotten, however, following his 1961 murder at the hands of the father of his under-aged lover. Mr. Quilty, Jr., born after his father's death, honors his memory through the writing of short stories based upon classic television material. |
