Hello. I'm Ursa (product of an overimaginative mother).I'm a bit of a Harry Potter fan. I'm new to this whole fanfiction writing thing so I think I'll start out just writing and posting character sketches to get my own kind of groove. You definitely don't need to read them but reviews and "flames" are greatly appreciated. I plan to deal mainly in Snape, Lupin, the Blacks, Crabbe and Goyle (vastly underappreciated in my opinion) Hermione, Neville, Fred and George, and The Marauders, so if you don't like any of these characters...well...find someone else to read. I know I'm a bit one sided when it comes to the male/female ratio of my characters but, I mean; I am a girl. I know how they work. I like writing about male characters because it's harder for me to get inside their heads. I feel that I need to write a little mini-series of Apologetics about any slash that might creep into my stories. (I'm Catholic to the core. hehheh) My best friend is gay, and he says that I have the most accomplished gaydar he's ever seen. Keep this in mind. I will only write certain characters gay if it seems to me that in the books they present as such, however subtly. So, my first Apologetic is for Sirius: JK Rowling has said in interviews that Sirius has never had a girlfriend. In Book Five in Snape's Pensieve a girl is looking at Sirius hopefully and he is ignoring her. Sirius has horrible family issues, and replaces his family with a couple very close male friends. He also is a loose cannon temper-wise and tends to take out inner frustrations that he cannot voice normally in violent or loud ways. This is exactly the profile my best friend fit before he came out. I'm not trying to prove Sirius is gay. I'm just saying that you wouldn't be completely crazy to assume he might be. I have always depended on the kindness of strangers~ Tennesee Williams thanks Ursa |
