Author has written 1 story for Mediator. Chapter 1 “Dopey and sleep are hot Suze….why not just call them Brad and Jake?” My New-York friend asked me. We were both bathing in the beach, drinking Diet Soda and talking about boys when she decided to bring up my step-brothers. “Because it’s MY nickname for them, and it suits them perfectly” Since I moved in from New York to live with my step dad and step brothers, I realized that Jake never done anything much, except looking, well sleepy. And Brad, Brads the same age as me and unlike me, he is very dopey and talks about nothing other than Six-Packs and Protein Shakes. Eurghh! “Why do you call David by his real name then…and not something weird like Brainiac or something?” I had my eyes closed, and for a moment there I felt Gina stir beside me causing me to sit up on my elbows too. “Over the time I guess he changed to just David. I don’t really know why.” That was true. I don’t know why David became David too me though. Maybe it was because as well as being smart, he was the most interesting out of the other two. I then noticed Gina was a little bit too quite. “What’s up? Is something wrong?” I asked worriedly. Do you think she could see ghosts to? Maybe there was one lurking in the beach and I couldn’t see I though, foolishly. But HEY when the chattiest person you know is extremely quiet, nasty and weird thoughts do come to mind you know! “Oh, sorry. Just saw a really cute guy walking over there. I was just checking if there happened to be a girl with him.” She replied smiling but her gaze still fixed at some boy hitting the waves with a couple of mates. I noticed who she was staring at and when I looked closely, I realized who it was. It was Bryce Martinson, an old friend of mine who also went to The Mission before transferring to RLS. Bryce noticed me sitting on the beach and looking happy to see me again, rushed to where I was sitting side to greet me. “Suze! Hey! How you doing? Long time no see huh?” Bryce Said, smiling at me, showing his brilliant white teeth. Not that I had a crush on him or anything. As a matter of fact, my heart totally belonged to another. Not that the guy knew of course. “And whos your new friends with you? Don’t think Ive seen her around at The Mission.” Gina to bewildered to say anything, I told Bryce about her and that she was from New-York. “Yeah…you haven’t seen her before cause shes from New York. Gina, Bryce-Bryce-Gina.” I don’t blame Gina for being astonished. Not many people knew me in New-York and if they did, none ever talked to me except for Gina. Not even major cute guys would ever talk to me forget one being excited to see me. “Um, Hi! Nice to me you, Bryce.” Gina said politely, still eyeing him up and down. “Im sorry I cant stay for long Suze. Ill catch up with you later, yeah?” Bryce said hurriedly, being able to tell he had to go, I said, “Okay and Buh-Bye.” After Bryce was gone Gina leaned closer to my ears and hissed, “How come you never told me you knew him! Forget knowing HIM, you never even told me you knew any guy!” Knowing Gina for nearly all my life I knew she was just kidding. “Ahah! I’m as surprised as you are sis and trust me…I nearly had a heart attack the first time he asked me out on a date.” Just as said that, I saw the most perfect looking guy ever walking past. I know, I know! I said my heart belonged to Jesse but theres no denying that this guy had a perfect body. He had curly brown her and mesmerising blue eyes that twinkled like the ocean. I saw Gina had noticed him but she looked at him for a minute before turning her eyes to Bryce. “Fancy walking around?” I asked Gina, I really wanted to get to know him and it would be a great chance to show my mother that I really have a social life. “Sure…I don’t mind, can we first get diet soda though?” With a brief nod, Gina and I headed to the mini stand that were selling refreshements. Just as we were approaching the stand, someone bumped into me causing me to fall onto the ground with a huge ‘Thud!’ “Im so sorry!” A boys voice exclaimed. I couldnt really see who it was but the voice sounded so damn dreamy. “Erm…its okay.” I replied, brushing some dirt of myself. “No, its not…I am truly sorry!” Is there anything I could do to help?” I looked up to see who was speaking when my heart threatened to jump out of my mouth! It was him! That boy I noticed at the beach! “Um…no. Im fine thanks!” I quickly said, I turned back to see Gina had left. Trust her to run away when you need her. “Hi. My names Paul Slater. Im here on a holiday with my family. And you are?...” Paul said, grinning. “Hey! Im Susannah Simon, but you can call me Suzie.” I replied, sort of,well blushing. “Would you like me to show you around” “Yeah, sure! What took you so long?” He said joking. Wow! Hes hot and jokes! Do you think life can get any better? |
