![]() To my reviewers, I am a white person. I take full responsibility for the disgusting racism present in my fan fiction - which is harmful and has been deleted. The use of Japanese honorifics by white authors - honorifics such as "chan" and "kun" are completely inappropriate when used to accessorize the English language. This is also the case for sentence endings such as 'desu' as and 'de arimas.' The Japanese Language is not here to accessories English - that is fetishizing it and otheringing it - and well as using it so we can look cute. The Japanese did not construct their language so white people over here can look all cute and lovely. It's racist. If you still use their words, take responsibility and change your ways. Please respect Japanese people and find an alternative in English when you are writing. Please ignore any comments I have made on this website about the use of Japanese mixed with english by white, people. I know understand that mixing English with Japanese to look cute is racist, objectifying and fetishizing. Japanese people are human beings - they're not our cutesy fettish or exotic fantasy. It's OK to love Japanese animated characters - it's not OK to love them because they are speaking Japanese. It's just a language, just like ours. Please follow the tumble blogs: "thisisnotjapan" and "f*cknofetishization' (no star) for more information, as I am white British and therefore cannot be an authority on somebody else's oppression.
