![]() Author has written 5 stories for Sonny with a Chance, Last Song, Glee, Degrassi, and Harry Potter. Hey! It's me, littlefish. I'm a short girl who is 17 years old. I've been using FanFiction for almost three years (I started with another author name that I can't remember), and you could say that I'm mildly obsessed with it. :) I also play piano, sing, draw, laugh loudly in the most inappropriate situations, and bake. I ALSO enjoy cake batter, ramen noodles, painting my fingernails, planting things, having freckles on my face from the sun, the smell of beef stew and dirt (not together!), and the texture on my teeth from cranberry juice. I have a tumblr! Wheeee :) my URL is right here and I blog about my life and reblog pictures and gifs that I like. Check it ooooooooout. UPDATE (7/18/11): For anyone who was interested in my Degrassi fic, Resistance and Distance, thank you for reading/reviewing and generally being wonderful :) Sadly, I didn't have the heart to post this author's note in a new chapter, but I have to let you know that it is officially discontinued. That show moves way too fast to stay canon, and frankly I didn't put much thought into the story to begin with. I'm sorry to have posted a fic that won't be completed. :( UPDATE (1/12/13): Soooo... I'm thinking about making a comeback? Maybe? I'm not sure.. I haven't felt very creative lately (for a really long time, actually) and FanFiction.Net has made a lot of changes since my last fic update (I mean, story headers or whatever they're called?!? Huh?!?) But I was reading through old PMs and reviews and I don't know, maybe I should at least try? I do miss writing a lot.. i don't like: spiders, snakes, general creepy-crawly things, broken things, most things Twilight related, discussion groups, mandatory reading, people who steal my thunder, knockoffs of any kind, homework, out-of-tune pianos, being sick, exercise, grumpy people, peer editing, the quadratic formula, people who think they can sing but can't, Sex Ed, BO, politics, greedy people, poverty, global warming, when people fart in class, lying to someone, when someone lies to me, etc. i DO like: my friends, boys (lol:D) watching the sunrise, watching the sunset, swinging, being comfortable, being nice to people, singing, that moment where you've FINALLY completed something, Damian McGinty, traveling, comfort food, going somewhere you haven't been in a long time, Nathan Kress, laughing, laughing until you cry, closure, British accents/things/people/colloquialisms, writing lists, skiing, funny people, being organized (not very good at it :D), socks, Christmas, ice cream, Brad Kavanagh, cats and other soft animals, Mexican restaurants, big books with a great ending, charlieissocoollike, going exploring, movie theaters, Skandar Keynes, that incredible feeling where everything is perfect, Ronald Bilius Weasley, my family, swimming, riding bicycles, etc. Favorite TV Shows: House Of Anubis, Glee (I'm a major gleek), Degrassi, Psych, iCarly, Sonny With a Chance, Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide, Wizards of Waverly Place, My Life As Liz, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Teen Wolf, Awkward. Favorite Books: Harry Potter Series, Hunger GamesCatching Fire, Hush,Hush, Confessions of Georgia Nicolson, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, It's Kind of A Funny Story, Secrets of My Hollywood Life, Darkest Powers Trilogy, Graceling, Percy Jackson Series, The Chronicles of Narnia, Sleepaway Girls (lame title, GOOD BOOK!), Kamichama Karin (it's actually a manga, which has an Ancient Greek God spin on it), 3 Willows, The Hobbit. Favorite Movies: Chronicles of Narnia Movies, The Hangover, LOTR Trilogy, Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, New Moon, Mamma Mia!. Favorite Bands/Artists: Coldplay, One Direction (sorrynotsorry), Mumford and Sons, Imagine Dragons, John Mayer Favorite Categories To Read On FF (and Favorite Shippings): Harry Potter - Rose/Scorpius, Ron/Hermione, James/Lily Evans, Fred/Katie House of Anubis - Fabian/Nina, Jerome/Mara Degrassi - Clare/Jake Glee - Finn/Rachel Confessions of Georgia Nicolson - Georgia/Dave Percy Jackson and the Olympians - Percy/Annabeth, Thalia/Luke Hunger Games - Peeta/Katniss iCarly - Carly/Freddie Psych - Shawn/Juliet Avatar: The Last Airbender - Aang/Katara, Zuko/Mai, Toph/Sokka Chronicles of Narnia - Edmund/OC, Lucy/OC Darkest Powers Trilogy - Chloe/Derek Littlefish's A Reader's Guide to Mary Sues: OMIGOSH!! I have an amazing (but short) story to tell: I love to Google things (a lot, actually) and read about them on Wikipedia (I know, it's stupid). Anyways, today I was looking at Wikipedia's page for FanFiction.Net, and I found a link to something about Mary Sues! For a while, I thought that Mary Sues are characters that just appear out of nowhere, and are kind of pointless to the plot in a story. However, according to Wikipedia, Mary Sues are "a fictional character with overly idealized and hackneyed mannerisms, lacking noteworthy flaws, and primarily functioning as a wish-fulfillment fantasy for the author or reader." Also, Mary Sues can be characters written in self-insertion (where an author will write their personality, traits, hobbies, etc. into an original character... mostly, this O.C. has a big part in the plot of the fic.) BTW, just so you don't have to pull out your dictionary, the word "hackneyed" (see above) means "overused, cliched." I hope that this guide to Mary Sues helped you readers/authors who, like me, pretended to know what Mary Sues were just to be able to comprehend a review or summary. :D Copy and Paste Things... You Gotta Love 'Em! This is a story about God. Read if you believe in him, and read even if you don't. A teenage girl about 17 named Diane had gone to visit some friends one evening and time passed quickly as each shared their various experiences of the past year. She ended up staying longer than planned, and had to walk home alone. She wasn't afraid because it was a small town and she lived only a few blocks away. As she walked along under the tall elm trees, Diane asked God to keep her safe from harm and danger. When she reached the alley, which was a short cut to her house, she decided to take it. However, halfway down the alley she noticed a man standing at the end as though he were waiting for her. She became uneasy and began to pray, asking for God's protection. Instantly a comforting feeling of quietness and security wrapped round her, she felt as though someone was walking with her. When she reached the end of the alley, she walked right past the man and arrived home safely. The following day, she read in the newspaper that a young girl had been raped in the same alley just twenty minutes after she had been there. Feeling overwhelmed by this tragedy and the fact that it could have been her, she began to weep. Thanking the Lord for her safety and to help this young woman, she decided to go to the police station. She felt she could recognize the man, so she told them her story. The police asked her if she would be willing to look at a lineup to see if she could identify him. She agreed and immediately pointed out the man she had seen in the alley the night before. When the man was told he had been identified, he immediately broke down and confessed. The officer thanked Diane for her bravery and asked if there was anything they could do for her. She asked if they would ask the man one question. Diane was curious as to why he had not attacked her. When the policeman asked him, he answered, "Because she wasn't alone. She had two tall men walking on either side of her." Amazingly, whether you believe or not, you're never alone. Did you know that 98 of teenagers will not stand up for God, and 93 of the people that read this won’t repost it? Repost this if you truly believe in God If you believe in Jesus Christ put this in your profile and don't just ignore this, because in the Bible it says if you deny me, I will deny you in front of my Father in the gates of Heaven. |
