![]() I have a soft spot for strong heroines who make foolish choices but pull it together in the end. I dream of leading men who use wit and charm instead of brute strength to make their points. I swoon over witty banter and love a good laugh. Mostly I devour all the amazing fan fic out there because really there are some untapped geniuses in this place. After much deliberation I am working on a little bit of my own inspired by Labyrinth which literally changed my life when I first saw it. I forced my mother to take me to the nearest book store upon exiting the theatre because I needed a copy of Sarah's little red leather book of my own. I never did get a copy of that book but have spent my life seeking it out. Until then you can find me with my nose buried in a book, or a screen as it were. I try to review every story I read because isn't the world a better place when we share? Until I get the final draft completed on my story, check out my favorites because they are really divine. And just remember that money doesn't buy happiness but it can buy a good book and that is almost the same thing, right? So here are a few of my most favorite of favorites... Wollaston - Alone in a Crowded Room. If you haven't read this, you need to get on it right this moment. Truly beautiful writing, such amazing character development and written with the knowledge of truth in every single world. Read it, trust me on this one. Also she cowrote this with her husband, both on tumblr, follow them there too. You won't regret it. Mejhiren - Prince Peeta and the Mockingjay Maid OR When the Moon Fell in Love with the Sun OR really anything by this amazing writer is enough to make me swoon. First of all the parallels she draws between our favorite characters from Hunger Games and classic fairytales and folklore is sheer genius. Then you read her descriptions and you can really see everything she writes. Beautiful. I read these stories over and over again because they just make me happy. Viciously Witty - The Goblin Market. This story flat out blew me away when I read it. I was hooked from the very moment I started and crushed when it finished. So rich and detailed and she gets the characters just so perfect. |
