![]() Author has written 5 stories for Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, and Supernatural. Status: Completed: Currently working on: Possible stories I'd like to dabble in: Hellfire and Church Bells is a revised and edited version of a Buffy: The Vampire Slayer RP that I shared with my former RP mate/co-author, and now, current consultant. Editing takes time, so please bear with me. The story begins in 1880 London when newbie vampire, Spike, accidentally sires Elizabeth, a young aristocrat woman who is still awaiting her acceptance into convent. The first book explores how Spike was like, having just been turned himself, and the character development with himself, Elizabeth, and their interactions between each other and the other characters (namely Angelus and Drusilla). This all gets set off when unforeseen circumstances separates the two from Angelus and Drusilla, forcing them in an awkward yet united front. As they traverse western Europe, in hopes that he, Spike, will reunite with his love, sire and childe must endure the company of each other along with the supernatural adventures that are fraught along the way. But once they reach their final destination, will things continue on as they were before? This is currently being edited due to errors and character and story inconsistencies. The first revised chapter is now posted. The sequel and miniseries, A Sparrow in Berlin, is set in 1943 in the midst of WWII. A stranger shows up at Elizabeth's door whom she never thought she would see again. A lot of time has passed, but despite the changing times of fashion and hairstyles, a face will remain the same—if you're a vampire. A Beat Across the Pond, the third story to the series, begins in 1959, where Spike finds himself stranded in New Jersey. It isn't long till he is reunited with his estranged progeny, Elizabeth, who has been living in the US for several years. Things get more interesting when the possibility of love opens up to her. Spike finds new love in the forms of a car and steel strings. The story continues with a possible and short stint during 1969, Woodstock, followed by the 1970s, and finally the 1990s, where the show begins. I'm trying to keep certain events within the canon Buffy-verse as accurate as possible, but considering the other main protagonist, things will ultimately diverge as new stories and plotlines develop, especially when the eventual romance grows between her and Spike. This is not a spoiler; the romance for the overall story is aimed at their pairing, regardless of former relationships, canon or not. I had the first story marked under romance with the initial intent of their 'ship', but that is not the sole reason for that categorisation. Considering the different times and places (they're vampires, so they've got a lot of time to travel), I try to do my best with some research with respect to each subject. At times, there'll be some use of different languages (but with an explanation or translation in the author's notes, of course), but that does not mean that I am fluent in any of the ones that are presented. If you are a native speaker or fluent in that language, and you spot a discrepancy, let me know what the proper translation would be, and I'll amend it (that would actually be really cool to have a direct source, lol). The character, Elizabeth Lorn, was created by vampchick4, AKA J. In the first part of the story, through consultation, I made some alterations or added to Elizabeth's actions during editing that would add to the story and depth to her character. She has been more fleshed out and realistic with her actions and reactions after this process. The sequel has been entirely revised to keep her true and realistic to the results of what happened to her at the end of the first story, and the years she's been on her own. Starting on the third story and onward, the series will not be written/transcribed from RP. As for the canon characters, I'm trying to keep them true to who they are for each time, so let me know if I'm straying. Genre: drama, fantasy/supernatural, horror, romance, humour, angst, adventure, action Warnings: blood (of course!), violence (some of it gets pretty graphic), coarse language (will get more explicit later on due to the time period), torture (later), sex (later, as in possible smut), non-consensual sex? (later) Rating: M; I'll put an MA warning before a chapter if it gets to something too graphic (I did give the warnings up above; some things may be triggering), but other than that, I won't go into detail to prevent spoilers. If you like the story, please leave a comment; comments are always appreciated. C: Feel free to PM me, I'm pretty nice and laid back. Really. My former co-author and current consultant finally signed up for FanFiction. You can bother her at: VampChick4 Other pairings I enjoy for the BtVS fandom, other than canon/OC: Spike/Drusilla, Angel/Spike, Angel/Cordelia, Wesley/Fred, Giles/Joyce, some more than others, and others that's I've forgotten. I actually don't think Spike paired with Buffy or Dru are his ultimate mate (hence having him paired with an OC), and him with Angel is nothing but short and angry bursts filled with passion but never lasting. Other than the other two stories (unrelated to HfaCB) I have for the BtVS fandom, I have a couple of potential ideas: 1) Human AU. Liam (Angel) and William (Spike) grow up together as youths, later to become estranged in their teens, and become reunited as adults when Spike (his rockstar name) finds out one of the lucky backstage pass winners of his US tour is Liam, now called Angel, working as a private investigator. (If it isn't obvious, m/m pairing. Romance and angst. Lots of the latter. And smut. Can get heavy in that. I've pretty much 'written' out how the story goes in my head, as I usually do, I just need to get it down in my docs. Ah. Ha. Deary me.) 2) Fem!Spike/Drusilla. What if William was actually Willa, a bookish, nearsighted aristocrat who couldn't find a proper suitor and rejected the invitations that her poor ailing mother suggested? With just as much passion and romance as her male counterpart, she also has the unfortunate gift of a terrible poet. Her unfortuitous night of rebirth unveils very much the same way when she catches Drusilla's eye, and the pair become bonded and lovers. (I was actually inspired to write a F/F fem!Spike/Dru story when I found gifs of blonde Rachel Miner from SPN. She is fem!Spike's face claim. That is all.) I have more, I just can't recall them. Those were the two that were most prominent and the ones I'd most likely work on next (if I ever get the chance to). PM me if you're interested in those ideas. I may just need to put up a poll to see if anyone is interested. It Was Always You was inspired by some very convincing posts about Dean's bisexuality. Seriously. I'd always shipped Castiel and Dean (which was born from a fanmade music video I'd seen of them with the song 'E.T.' by Katy Perry), but I've always seen their relationship to just be a brotherly bond, familial, and a deep friendship. And honestly, if that's all it is (and ever will be) I can appreciate that. But. Reading those posts/threads and transcripts of interviews with some of the actors and writers from SPN, has made it pretty convincing that Dean was supposed to be written as bisexual (as a character he was also based on)—though it's not so forthright to the audience; it's only nuanced in the form script writing and television can portray as a sort of foreshadowing to things that'll come to be in the future for the character and his growth. I suppose it also has to do with him being a main protagonist and such a strong character who's also in a fairly large network show that it'd be 'dangerous' to portray him as someone who's part of the LGBT/other than straight. From what was shared in these posts/interviews, the actors are aware of this side to his character (and Castiel's, as it's shown between them in their relationship), though they don't discuss it openly. That, however, does influence their choices in acting and how they behave when they're in character, which shows a lot between the moments that Dean and Castiel share. They know it. And, man, when it comes the day that the writers finally decide to write the scene where Dean and Cas share a kiss? God, I hope that day comes. But I feel like when it does, that'll be near the end of the series. BUT I DIGRESS. My story, other than being inspired by Dean's undiscovered/unembraced/unrecognised (or what have you) bisexuality, is sort of... a step into that direction where he starts to see that side of him, firstly by seeing Castiel as a woman. SPOILERS till up to season 13x22 where the gang returns from the alternate world through the rift. After a few months, Team Free Will 2.0 and their allies have found some footing back on their world, enough that they've resorted back to a comfortable routine of hunting and have almost forgotten about the most recent apocalypse. Dean and Sam are away on a case while Castiel takes some personal time for himself. After a message left from the angel that he'll be returning shortly, he shows up at their motel over a week later—as a woman. On his time away, Castiel gets ambushed by a faction of both demons and angels and an underlying force of unknown and unworldly evil to the point he is near dying. Recognising that one of the members to be the body of his first female vessel from 1901, Castiel seeks refuge in it while his grace heals, in hopes to return to his former male body. The new and human version of Castiel joins Dean and Sam on a case in Casper, Wyoming, where women are being killed with their kidneys cut out from their bodies. This pattern leads the boys guessing as to what kind of monster has this particular MO, but to no avail. As the weather heats up, so does Dean's attraction to Castiel's new body—and so does the turn of bodies littered in Casper. But that takes a turn, leading them to a dude ranch with a new killing MO, and a potential new monster. Some interaction with the guests causes some jealousy to arise, an overprotective Dean, and conflicting feelings both Dean and Castiel have to confront, inevitably deepening their already profound bond. Eventual romance, slow burn. Smut much, much later on. There's a sequel to this story, if I finish it. And one after that, if I finish the second. Yep. Pairings I enjoy in the SPN fandom: Castiel/Dean, Castiel/Meg, Castiel/Hannah (sorta. I wish their relationship had been explored more, and even the opportunity of having one between them when Hannah chose a male vessel afterwards, that would have been fascinating) (as you can see, I ship Cas mostly, but he is predominately with Dean), Dean/Bela Talbot (played by Laura Cohan ('Maggie' from TWD) who was only there a few eps, but they had good chemistry), Mary/Bobby (I just always thought they would be good together and that they were the true parents of the boys, but 'too bad that she's dead'—then she was brought back, ha. Then AU Bobby does develop feelings for Mary, heh). I will one day write something Megstiel. Yes, I shall. AO3: bekindplsrewind (all my works here are posted there as backup) | |||||||
