![]() Author has written 9 stories for Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and Kane Chronicles. Jack Flash here! About what I write: Currently I'm working on the Traitors of Olympus Series. The first four books happen after the Heroes of Olympus books (and do not take into account the events in Trials of Apollo because Whispers of a Snake was written before its release and I'd already sketched up the series's plot and eeehhhhhh--I'm lazy). Tales from Mount Othrys, the prologue, will delve into the events of Percy Jackson and the Olympians from the other side of the war, you know, where the cool kids are. Started on it recently and uh... it is not what I was expecting it to be... Announcements about what I write: Hopefully posting every weekend for Fall of the Sun! About me: I find labels limiting and restrictive. Now that being said, let me give you some labels to orient yourself! I'm a waterbender, a Hunter of Artemis (or child of Apollo, depending), a Ravenclaw, a Virgo, an INFJ (on a bad day), an INTP (on a normal day), or an ENTP (when I'm feeling like a jerk). I have had as many concussions as years that I have fenced and did martial arts. Games currently Playing: N/A sadly :( No time. Though I really want to replay a bunch of old games. Shows currently Watching: One Piece (why did I DO this to myself! -.-), My Hero, Love, Death and Robots Books currently Reading: Darker Shade of Magic, Facéties de Chat (I'm learning ''), The Ship of Theseus (AMAZING thus far) The Ethical Slut (This woman knows how to make a catchy title, eh?), Ancient Magic: A Practitioner's Guide, and a ton of others I've probably completely forgotten or are unnamed, like Mel's book Music: Everything, but I've currently been stuck on alternative rock. Always love electrojazz like Jamie Berry and Caravan Palace. Also been stuck on metal remakes of pop music, but my automatic fallback is always folk metal or progressive metal. (Thanks for FatRat VCRx XD) Current fancies: Reese's Sticks, Milk, my namesake, rock climbing, antagonizing the unwary, supporting small artists (from blacksmiths, to painters) cosplay, movie editing, and ruining my readers' favorite characters. Being sad I don't have enough time, money, organization, or self-control for everything, as you do :P Philosophies...ish?: All things are relative, including this statement, except absolutes, like this statement. "Those who cannot understand how to put their thoughts on ice should not enter into the heat of debate" "And we should call every truth false which was not accompanied by at least one laugh." --Nietzsche ("N-i-e-t-z-s-c-h-e, and I'll end any mthrfckr like my name in a spelling bee!" --Epic Rap Battles of History) Other social media: If you want to check out more cosplay photos like my profile picture, or art/fanart I've commissioned/been given for Traitors of Olympus, check out my Tumblr: jflashandclash. Sometimes you'll even get early releases there :P I'm also on AO3, Quotev, and Wattpad with the same name. Friends that I don't give enough credit to and are awesome, so you should check them out VCRx: This guy saw me floundering on this site, grabbed my metaphorical arm, and dragged me to my feet. Well, he tried. I keep slipping and sliding and he keeps trying to keep me from drowning again. He's got all the pressures of the world on him from balancing the brain of a scientist, the creativity of a writer, and the psychotic expectations that come with being a first born, but he hasn't lost his mind completely yet (right...?) He's all-round great guy as long as you ignore that whole "world domination" thing. (Iceland, Scotland, and various sectors of Russia and Canada are mine! XD) ImpossibleThings12: We haven't talked in awhile, but she's really cool. She's full of all kinds of creativity--from writing, to singing, to acting. I hope she's still working at all of it! Aka_s_mel: She's not on this site (she's on AO3 and Tumblr), but Mel is pretty much the reason I'm writing right now. We've been close friends for years and she betatests my series. About a year ago, my confidence had been shattered as a writer, and she pieced it back together. To this day, she acts as my foundation every time I feel shaky as a writer. She incredibly encouraging but brutally honest when she needs to be. She's a phenomenal cosplayer and writes her own fanfiction for Miraculous Ladybug and Arslan Sunki. If you ever get a chance--check out one of her other profiles! Special thanks to Brookstar, Dorkus, and Mantichora for calling me out on my shit XD Random Any time I get sad, I like to look at this picture to remember the problem with baby centaurs and visualize a baby Chiron with Kronos. (Auuuugh, it won't load on this site, but just type "problem with baby centaurs" into google and you won't be disappointed.) Lastly, I write and read about as efficiently as Sisyphus does masonry, and have the memory you'd expect out of Jason Grace or Hearthstone, sooooo, if I don't respond to you, it doesn't mean I hate you. I actually love receiving messages, comments, and constructive criticism. It just means I probably disappeared into the woods to catch leprechauns. |
