![]() Hello, it's kind of you to drop by... Or perhaps, stumble upon my profile. Either way, welcome. The name I go by is "Thau" (Thau is short for Thaumaturgic -- a moniker I picked up in my life), which is pronounced like "thaw" (although, it technically should be more like Th-OWW!, but that sounds painful). So feel free to talk to me, 'cuz the ice is already thau'd. ;D (Yes, I am horribly not punny. It's my major, fatal character flaw.) I don't have much -- if at all any -- content here, yet. I hope that someday I'll be able to contribute to the fandoms I love. Well, I've been reading fanfiction (rather obsessively) for the past few years. Haha, I always tell my friends, "If you want to get me into your fandom, give me a great fanfiction and I'll do the rest." Well, if there is one type of story that makes me fall head over heels, it's the ones with great character development. If a story has that, everything will simply fall into line -- the plot, the banter, and sometimes even the romance. I'm a strong believer that character can be different from canon, only if the author can show the reader where the delineation happens. Experiences change characters, and how they deal with it -- that's what defines a character. Well, that was my rant. I am tracking (read: stalking) the following fandoms: Harry Potter (and any Xovers that may be mentioned in the following fandoms), Avengers (All media types), Deadpool and Spiderman (okay. I'll be real here, just the pairing spideypool), BBC Sherlock, Game of Thrones/ A song of Ice and Fire, Supernatural, Steven Universe, Pokémon, Bleach, Naruto, Death Note,Magi: the Labyrinth of Magic, Haikyuu!!, X-Men, Katekyo Hitman Reborn, Tokyo Ghoul, Digimon, Yuri on Ice, Voltron, Teen Wolf, and whatever stray fanfiction that entices me into another pitfall of fandom-obsession. I love stories with: Character development, MOD! Harry, SI, witty banter, morally grey characters, fluff, angst, hurt/comfort, time travel, AU travel, Xovers, and slash relationships (although I can't write romance to save my life, I have an appreciation for those who can). If you have any recs that fall into any of those categories, I'd much appreciate it if you can PM it to me -- I'm always on the hunt for more fanfiction. (I actually fall into fandoms through fanfiction so, much thanks in advance.) Outside of reading fanfiction, I'm an artist, swimmer, and general procrastinator with perfectionist issues. Now isn't that an oxymoron: perfectionistic procrastinator. I also suffer from plot bunnies. So like, I have a bunch of ideas but not enough time to write them... So, if you want to bounce some ideas off of me, by all means, just PM me. Although, no guarantees on how fast I can reply. AO3: xThau Tumblr/ Art Blog: thau-draws |
