Twitter - *New one is in the process of being made as my last one was hacked and deleted* FAQ's: Did you get your idea for Regrettable Decisions because of similar personal experiences? Yes, I got the main plot idea of Clary's pregnancy from my own teenage pregnancy. I think it's important for people to see that while some teenagers may be stupid and want to get pregnant just for the hell of it, some situations are a lot more complicated. One of my sister's friends was raped when she was only fourteen years old and fell pregnant. She was accused of being a slut, bullied online and physically and mentally abused at school, etc. The truth is that you have no idea what is going on behind closed doors in someone's life, and the message that I'm trying to convey is that you can't judge a person based on what it looks like and what rumours you have heard. Favourite book series other than TMI? The Infernal Devices, obviously. I love Vampire Academy equally as much. The Hunger Games Trilogy is amazing, too. 'Matched' series. 'Evernight' series. 'Fallen' series. I am aware that The Perks of Being a Wallflower is not a series, but it is a beautiful book none the less. Oh, and the 'Bloodlines' series by the same author as the 'Vampire Academy' books. Do you have plans for your next Fan Fic after Regrettable Decisions? I sure do. I have two ideas for another TMI FanFic, both based on a topic that some people often feel uncomfortable about, just like teen pregnancy. They both follow a story of mental illness and self harm. It's something that many people don't have much insight on, and seeing as I've been through times of self harm and depression, I can write in more detail and certainty. But, then again, I'm considering doing a Vampire Academy fic! (Before you get too excited, it would be Rose & Adrian, because as much as I adore Dimitri, Adrian will always be my favourite.) I haven't written a VA story before and I think it would be fun to have a go at writing a first person story from Rose's POV, because she's just such a funny, kick ass character. Would you ever consider doing a story that doesn't have such a serious matter being addressed? Yes, I've had plenty of little ideas for more light hearted fics, but my main focus on my writing is addressing and conveying serious matters and problems. But there's a good chance my next fic (if a Vampire Academy one) would be more light with a bit more fluff. Clary's Outfit for Chapter 4 in Regrettable Decisions, her first day back at school: |
