Author has written 1 story for Harry Potter. It doesn't matter who I am, or what my name is; suffice to say that it's not interesting enough for my liking. I love writing. I wouldn't say it's my life, but it's one of the few things that keeps me sane. Most of the things I write are original, though, sorry. I was inspired to try and write fanfic by the better-than-canon fic Sacrifices Arc, which I would definitely recommend. Shoebox Project also gets my vote. Go read them. Now. My favourite characters are, in this order, Regulus Black, Remus Lupin, Sirius Black, Severus Snape (but only when he's being tragic), and Luna Lovegood. I prefer Marauder Era fic to anything else, simply because I find those characters more vivid and more likable. Regulus is my favourite character by a looooooooooooooooong shot, though. Ships I like: Remus/Sirius (should've been canon) Regulus/Snape (Sacrifices Arc did this to me :P) Regulus/Rosier (the two best characters in Sacrifices, so of course they're great outside of it too!) Snape/Lily (the more angsty and one-sided, the better) Lucius/Narcissa (one of the few canon ships that actually works for me; they're just a really good match for each other) Cho/Charlie (weirdly enough, I think they suit each other; sadly, there's not nearly enough of it) Ships I dislike: Harry/Ginny (she's such a cardboard character, ugh) Draco/Hermione (there's really far too much of it on here, considering its implausibility and tendency to be badly-written) Your OC/any canon character, but especially Harry, Draco, Snape, Lupin or Sirius (although I think there's a special circle of hell reserved for those who do this to the last two) Any teacher/any student (squick.) Any two close relatives (ditto, squickfest. Third cousins are probably the closest I can accept) I'm also not really a fan of characters reading the books, and OCs in general. They have to be really interesting for me to tolerate them, let alone like them. Sacrifices Arc is the one blinding exception to this rule, but what rules of mine *didn't* it break? Notice: Severus and Regulus is down until I can rewrite it in a way which doesn't make me slightly sick. Feel free to drop me a line; I can take honest criticism and I would like to know what you think. ~ Ravenclaw ~ |
