Author has written 1 story for Harry Potter. I'm not too keen on giving out loads of personal information; suffice it to say that I am a writer with an extreme Eowyn complex. In other words, I view life from the perspective of a Shieldmaiden, treasuring my liberty and peace, all the while attempting to avoid the various entangling webs life tends to create. I'm still waiting for my Faramir -- I know he'll turn up one day -- but until I find him, I content myself with music, ballet, classic films, God (afraid I can't apologize for that one, either) good books, rain, honey . . . and, of course, fanfiction. If you were slightly befuddled by any of the above, I suggest you acquire a copy of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings as quickly as possible. I generally prefer canonically accurate fanfic, though I will read nearly anything as long as it is well-written. I am most active in The Lord of the Rings (a broad heading for anything Tolkien), The Phantom of the Opera (Erik and Christine is a divine pairing blessed by Heaven), and Harry Potter fandoms. I have also been known to roam the Star Wars, Star Trek, Pirates of the Caribbean, X-Men, Peter Pan, Moulin Rouge, Smallville, King Arthur, Les Miserables, and Spirited Away fandoms, though I visit them with far less regularity than the sacred three mentioned above. Incidentally, I don't read -- or write -- slash. I'm not a homophobe, nor do I condemn those who enjoy slash; it's just not my cup of brew. I mention this not to offend or anger anyone, but becuase many people seem curious about author preferences in such matters. I simply wish to make my position clear. I shall leave you all with a quote from Tolkien which has proved quite influential in my personal life. I hope you find as much wisdom in it as I have! "Yet it is not our part to master all the tides of the world, but to do what is in us for the succour of those years wherein we are set, uprooting the evil in the fields that we know, so that those who live after may have clean earth to till. What weather they shall have is not ours to rule." -J.R.R. Tolkien, The Return of the King |
