Hello everyone the fanfiction "A shadowed past, A new future" is the first story that I've written. I have had the ideas for this story for a very long time. I would like to thank everyone for reading my story, and I hope you like it. If I make a mistake please forgive me. For those of you who may be wondering, What happened to the letter In the first chapter. It has not gone away. It just plays a really big roll in the story.

For those of you who have read my story so far thank you soo much It really means a lot to me and please keep reading. For those of you who haven't or on the fence I hope you like it if you decide to read it:) Again if their are any errors I apologize- when I upload it errors are created so the document often alters from the original.., so I change them back as I find them... update- I want to thank all of you for the reviews - I appreciate it very much:) Some of you have asked that I make the chapters longer- I will do my best to accommodate. As the story progress more things will be revealed, stay tuned.

Fact check- Did you know that in the first Gundam Seed Destiny movie "The shattered World"- In the very beginning a television broadcaster talks about a group called the Holyland that is affiliated with the organization blue cosmos. Athrun watches this report before he takes off to the plants with cagalli.

however this group is never discussed further:( and this part/scene is never included in the destiny tv series only in the movie.

The reason I choose this plot I'm hoping very much that if the gundam seed movie is ever released that the director Mitsuo Fukuda and the writer (his wife) Chiaki Morosawa elaborates on some of the untold mystery in the series. Until then, This story is my theory surrounding the events that are not elaborated on in the anime/movies of seed and destiny. In other words if Gundam Seed was to continue with a 3rd season this is my interpretation of what could happen.

my inspiration for this chapter is this song : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zm6rCknIvo (i'm so addicted to it and once again fallen in love with the melody) The song is titled: Waiting for the Rain by Maaya Sakamoto the song and lyrics are sung in English by maaya sakamoto.. and express the feelings of the characters perfectly ... once again work is demanding, but i will continue the story i will not give up:)

The gundam seed chapter will be the next one posted:) Do not worry I plan to make it 50 or 51 chapters to match the series so it is not ending yet your reviews are much appreciated and are very encouraging:)

Future projects that I have had Ideas for at least 2 years for and hope to do one day:

1) A 10 or 20 chapter story for the Twelve Kingdoms, I want to write a story about Yoko/Queen Kei and King EN

It would be about a love torn by 2 kingdoms ~ both rulers having affections for each other but unable to act on their feelings because of heavens will, but keep their affections a secret between each other known to no one else but their kirin who help them keep their secrete and keep them from crossing the line so that they won't foil heavens mission.

2) 10 or 20 chapter story for Ghost Hunt it would pick up where the novels left off since the series is on hiatus and would be about gene, naru and mai. It would be about naru discovering he has feelings for mai and mai realizing that the person in her dreams is really naru's twin brother gene (who was murdered in the novels but has a psychic link with mai )and not naru ,and both are trying to protect mai in their own way as they have done thus far in the anime, manga and novel.
